I just wanted to share something that might help anyone feeling stuck with sales right now. I wrote an information-style blog post (not a catelog blog) about the history of Christmas in July from the early beginnings, to how Hallmark ran with the movies, how stores started selling themed products, even how craft shops pushed decoupage and party supplies and how people in communities decorate their homes and host parties. I made sure the title had good keywords and wove them naturally into the post so it would index right. I added my product links in images and in text hyperlinks.
That blog ended up doing way more than I expected. It’s been sitting in the #1 spot on my site for 82 days straight. And honestly, it kicked off a whole chain reaction. My Christmas in July products were buried in the Zazzle marketplace I couldn’t even find them myself back when I made them in 2025. But once the blog started getting traffic, people began clicking through to my store. Then Pinterest picked it up, and suddenly the product was being shared around. One thing led to another.
Because of that one blog post, My sales have been wonderful 1K postcards sold today! Plus other sales for this category and I am certain it all started with that blog post. I’m sharing this to show that informational blogging can help bring in organic traffic and get your products seen when they’re buried. People still read blogs. They search for topics. And when your post helps them, or they learn something they’re more likely to click over to your store.
So if your sales are off, maybe try writing a few information blogs with keyword titles that match what people are already searching for. It’s free traffic, and it might give your store a nice boost like it did mine.
And I guess this is my last post at this community. See you all at the new community…

This is certainly encouraging information and a huge nudge for me. I’ve been in a lull for the first time in ages. Congrats to you for the success from your efforts-- hoping it continues. And thanks for sharing, @Susang6 . 😁

Thank you! I glanced at the sale, then grabbed my reading glasses and wow, it really was 1K postcards in a single sale. I’m still smiling. It’s amazing what blogging can do.

I took the liberty of having a look at the shops you shared. I genuinely hope your results are accurate and that it’s working as well as it sounds — that would be great. I’m just not completely convinced yet.
The only postcard that seems somewhat visible to me is the Vintage Boca Raton Resort postcard, and even that doesn’t appear to have many views. I can more easily imagine this working for flyers — I’ve seen simple blank templates sell there. But for postcards, I’m still a bit unsure.
Regarding the main point of your post: I do agree overall. If it fits your product direction or niche, creating content can definitely make sense. Blogs may be less popular than they used to be, and running your own website isn’t as straightforward anymore. Still, for those who don’t want to rely on TikTok, it’s a valid way to reach people. And in my opinion, Facebook isn’t completely dead either.
I’ve noticed that many Platinum and Diamond shops are now linking their domains directly to Zazzle, without adding much additional content in between. That used to be different.
In the end, I think it comes down to overall shop strategy — whether blogging, having a website, running a forum, or using a Facebook page really fits your approach.
From what I can see in my own shop analytics, more and more customers seem to be mobile-first and often come through social media. My impression is that creating a really strong video can be more valuable than a blog post on its own. Ideally, combining both — a good video, supported by a blog post and links — probably creates the most well-rounded approach.
Please don’t feel offended — that’s really not my intention. I was actually doing the math the other way around: about $1,000 as your share, not Zazzle’s. So I assumed you might have sold over 5,000 of those $1.65 cards to reach that.
That would be quite amazing. With just over 60 views, though, the conversion rate would be incredible!
I’m really happy for you — heartfelt congratulations, and I truly mean it.
Congratulations Susan! Great sale. And thank you for the tip. I write my blog but didn’t use tag words and just added them. I will try to follow your advice now and hope that will be helpful as it proved in your case. My posts are very simple and short that is something to work on.

Yes at first I thought it was 100 postcards and was excited, I showed my husband and he told me to find my reading glasses… I bout fell over when I saw 1K. It’s a best sale ever!.. I am thinking it had to be a business, community or organization that bought the postcard. My MIL in Florida told me her community decorates for Christmas in July and they have parties… in some areas its really is a month long “Christmas Event”…the postcard was a Christmas in July design that I created in 2025.

I’m glad the blogging tag info helped you. I’ve actually read in several places that publishing a blog post daily can really boost traffic. I tested it myself in May, and by June my blog views and zazzle linkoverhistory had increased significantly. It really showed me how much consistency matters. Good luck with your blog, you know you can share the link to your blog as your website on Zazzle about page.

Nice! Yes I was thinking the same it must be a business or for some type of event they hold. And it’s from a newer design found so that is good too!

Thanks for taking the time to look at my Vintage Boca Raton Resort watercolor postcard. That one is actually in my Beach Designs by Susang6 store not my main store so the visibility is naturally lower. My main store has been around since 2009 and has over 6,000 products, so most of my long‑term traffic and sales come from there. The postcard that I mention in this discussion was created in 2025, and for quite a while it wasn’t even listed in the marketplace. Once I wrote a blog post and shared the link, the views and sales finally started coming in. The postcard that I mention in this discussion has sold 1010 times total, and still has low views. In my expereince I’ve had sales on products with under five views. Sometimes the right buyer just lands on it at the right moment. Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to check out my Beach Designs by Susang6 store.
