Unusual message upon posting in Show Me

A message I have never before seen in all my years at Zazzle popped up a few minutes ago. I had just posted a new design in the Show Me Your Greeting Cards and was posting it also in the New Design show me category and a zazzle box appeared that said something to the effect, “you have posted a lot here lately. Why not give back?” I am not sure what I did or am supposed to do or how to respond. Anyone else ever receive this kind of message?

I have not seen it here but I have had it at Facebook “You’ve been posting a lot want to interact with others” I think its because you might be posting in a short period of time. Why not give back? Why don’t they just say what they want? give back what? No doubt ai-generated.

Susang6, It sort of upset me because I certainly do not intend to cause a problem or whatever. I just have never seen such a message in all the years (17!) that I have been here. I do not know why it appeared when it did or what I was supposed to give back! Or for sure, who or what generated the message. Perhaps you are correct in that it was maybe AI generated. I do not do Facebook so have never seen it there either. Anyway, thank you Susang6!

I’ve had it happen multiple times on this new forum when I post an older product. I generally look for a different product to post. I haven’t tried posting a product after I’ve seen it.

Give back means doing other things besides creating posts. Reply to some things, kudo some posts. Its most definitely an automated bot, we had bots that do these things before AI. I really dislike how anything automated is being described as AI. Its as simple as the 20% off popups we always get, we trigger a thing and then the bot executes it. Some people get them all the time; some hardly get any.

Being an automated thing, it just picked you because your activity somehow triggered it. You shouldn’t have to actually listen to it or do anything. It’s just a friendly reminder that: communities only work when people go back and forth.

If folks only ever posted new topics rather than responding to what’s already there it’s not functional. I DO find it silly that it happened with doing Show Me posts. Maybe an admin can have that specific section not trigger it but i’m not sure if that’s something the forum host has as an option.

Its a non-issue, don’t worry. There are no consequences if you get that message its more of a gentle nudge.

Sorry if the term “ai generated” bugs you, but honestly AI has taken over the bots functionally on Zazzle at this point. I wasn’t saying every automated thing is AI just that on Zazzle it’s kind of hard not to assume it. We’ve got AI design tools, AI prompt generators, AI store suggestions, AI helpful tips, AI moderation nudges, AI product descriptions, AI onboarding messages, Zee popping up everywhere… and then they hired Brian Yick as Chief Strategy Officer, and his whole role is tied to AI‑generated designs, generative commerce, expanding the AI platform, So yeah, it really feels like AI is here to stay on Zazzle, not bots. When a company leans this heavily into AI, anything that pops up, nudges, lectures, or “reminds” sure seems AI‑generated.

SIMPLY_DESIGNED_GIFT, thank you for your reassurance. I appreciate it.

Thanks for sharing PAZP. This new forum has still not won me over.

When I got the popup on facebook I looked at it and just wanted to finish what i was doing on facebook it was a mistake i was put into Jail… but thank goodness Zazzle doesn’t have that. I know pinterest does not like it when you share from same source that’s why I share 5 manual pins AM then 5 PM… maybe spread out your show me shares to see if that helps. I think all the platforms are using the generated message now “You’ve been posting a lot want to interact with others” if you click too fast, share too many posts in a short window, open and close tabs quickly, or respond to comments too rapidly, the system can mistake you for a bot.

Susang6, thank you for expanding on the earlier info. I do not do any promotion outside of the Show Me, so I admittedly do a good bit in the Show Me. Just never had a problem with it before. I also have been getting the message that says something to the effect that I was posting too soon following a post right before (I understand that one) or that I had tried to post something too similar or the same as before. This one puzzled me because I was not posting in the same theme (I might post an item under the Show Me Your Latest Design and what I post there might also fit under the Alphabet theme). If they are in two different Show Me themes, why would that be a problem?

Another thing that happens from time to time is I may find something I wish to correct on a post so I use the edit feature to remove something I have posted and re-post the corrected version. Then I discover that what seemed to have been edited (erased) as I wanted, is still showing and now I have duplicates (even though it appeared that the original had been edited out). It is all just confusing. I still find this layout one big mess. These Forums are so “busy” with stuff that seems unnecessary. One has to really look to find what you are searching for. I suspect none of this is a problem for those under age 50. But I do wonder what this new Forum improves that made it so important to change how it used to be. So many times at Zazzle I find myself thinking, “if it ain’t broke, PLEASE don’t fix it.” It really is not fun to come to the Forum anymore. It is certainly a lot more effort and time. But I do it to get a little bit of promotion and I enjoy reading what others are doing or writing about in the Forum. So many names have become familiar over the many years I have been here and that is nice. But all of that was true of the original Forum. So the new version did not improve on that. Okay, I have gotten a little off-topic. Just needed a little venting! Thanks again, Susang6!

It is a board / forum thing with this messages. So, just don’t mind. This community board is ready made, as a discussion board. It is not made from zazzle specially and only for us. And yes, on a regular board, it is ok to have this messages, sometimes they are important.

Glad I could help! And I totally get the confusion I just got a new popup myself that said something like “The OP has been answered, do you really want to reply?” I was replying to another creator, so yes… I really wanted to reply. This new community needs to come with a How to manual!
