After experiencing initial issues with product grouping, I followed Zazzle’s recommendations to the letter: I used the exact same title, description, and tags for all variants, changing only the color wording where necessary. I recreated most of my store based on these guidelines, and the automatic grouping started working perfectly.
However, this only lasted for about two weeks. Yesterday, I noticed that a huge number of my products—which previously had all 10 variants grouped correctly—have suddenly degrouped. Only a few products remain correctly linked.
For example, when searching for “white fern accessory pouch”. The design theme variant thumbnails are still clearly visible underneath the pouches in the search view. However, as soon as I open the product page (for example, the yellow bridal pouch Butter Yellow White Fern Elegant Small Bridal Accessory Pouch | Zazzle), the variants completely disappear. Furthermore, all groupings have vanished within my store view as well.
I am at a complete loss as to what is wrong this time. I have already tried contacting Zazzle Support in the past regarding grouping issues. Chat support told me to wait for an email follow-up, but I have heard nothing for over a month. I also sent follow-up emails myself two weeks ago, and another one last week, but I have received only silence.
It feels very discouraging to put so much time into setting things up correctly, only for the system to break it again without any support. Any help from the tech team to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Note: No changes were made on my side to the product variants that got degrouped. The only thing I did was add new mockups/media options; otherwise, absolutely nothing was changed.
@CaldraArt Looks like they are showing your artwork on all the sizes - small and large accessory pouches - the colorways are still grouped together - just showing you size options in your search.
And the middle one (without bride text) is shown in your search due to the same tags all colorways still grouped together
@CaldraArt it could be the product having issue (eg pouches) due to all the different options. Am sure Tech team will review it. Don’t forget to to edit your first post with a link to the product.
I’ve noticed that with some of mine, if I don’t have a background color on some, but do on others, they won’t group. The fix for me was putting a white background on the “no background color” ones.
