I was checking my earnings list and I noticed some of my royalties seem low. So I checked and I am NOT getting the 5% royalties that I should be getting. I sold a product that was around $25 and only got like $0.76. Is there something I am missing?
@CBolton Have you clicked on the eye icon in the royalty history report, it shows you in more details where it went.
On a site note: I (personally) find 5% really, really low. If you sell something via 3rd party you will almost receive nothing. I know, a little bit is better than nothing but it will take you for ever just to reach a payout goal (be it now $50 or $100). ![]()
I have had my royalties low since 2014 had no problem reaching $100.
I checked the details, I think these fees are crooked.
So this is a question that is coming up almost weekly since April’s Fool Disaster Day 2025. I think Zazzle needs to address this.
@CBolton Wow, I stand corrected. I‘m glad (and impressed) that you sell so much. Good for you!! I hope someone from Zazzle will look into it for you.
Yes, they definitely need to address this situation.
Don’t hold your breath.
When your royalty is set at 5%, you would get $1.25 royalty on an item that sold for $25.00, if Zazzle wouldn’t deduct anything else. However, Zazzle now always deducts a 40% - 50% marketing fee from your royalty, unless you advertised the item yourself. So it looks like you received $0.76 because Zazzle deducted a 50% marketing fee from your royalty.
