Zrank went down

My Zrank was at 8 for years and today went down to 6. Does anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance.

Mine went down to 5… And I deleted quite over 3000 products and worked as much as never before here.
Pet’s have no season now, perhaps? I do not have a real idea, what’s the problem. I would say, I see less visitors on all products ans even on my web page. Not one of my dogs are trend topics, but it is worse than years before. and the rank, never got the point what it is the main cause. Somehow the % you add is quite important, the linkover relation, the views and the selling performance. Even if you sold just 0,01 $ it would help.

I think this is not a technical issue, it is the way the zRank works. It will say us, improve your work.

Mine was 7 and recently dropped to 6.

I did get a violation warning as I described a pumpkin face as smiley and apparently that word, despite being in the dictionary and used in every day life, is patented!

I thought that might be why they dropped it but just guessing.

Mine also went down to 5 after … I can only assume the low number of sales in September. Otherwise, no idea why.

In my experience, hiding products that haven’t sold in 2 years and products that have few views helps boost zRank. Zazzle says the ratio of sold to unsold products affects zRank, so that makes sense.

One of my stores recently dropped from 8 to 7 and hiding products hasn’t helped thus far, although it’s possible I haven’t hidden enough.

I don’t think you need to worry, Sue, I doubt that’s the reason. I’ve unintentionally used trademarked words in my tags a few times with no effect on my zRank.

Thanks for taking the time to message. I really appreciate it.

It’s a really horrid feeling when you get the violation message and then really frustrating to find out it was a commonly used word and that’s why!

A whole separate topic in itself… Don’t stress over it. If you’re putting work out there, running into overlaps is pretty much inevitable, no matter how hard you try to avoid it.

We really should connect and support each other more, keeping in mind that we’re all serving the same end customers. Designing in the same niches shouldn’t mean seeing each other as competition or enemies.

One of my stores also dropped from Zrank 7 to 5 out of nowhere ! I haven’t added any new products to disrupt the ratio, my sales have been lower than usual in general since that Unfortunate April change, but still I do make sales…I guess I’m gonna add this one too, to the list of rugs being pulled from under our feet by Z ! :woman_shrugging:
