For the last 3 days, I’ve been trying to change my royalty rate on most of my ornaments.
First I tried doing bulk changes. System said my changes were made. But the ornaments never showed the new rate, and when I check them now, they still show the old rate.
Then I tried changing them by editing each royalty rate individually. Some of them changed immediately, but most of them still show the old rate.
So tired of doing stuff over and over again. Is anyone else seeing this?
@Westerngirl2 It does my head in. I have had semi luck choosing another product with the royalty you want and bulk select all (inc donor royalty item). and change them that way.
It’s very hit or miss these days and they wont go to “pending” royalty changes any more
I spend a lot of hours trying to update royalties that could be spent on doing more fruitful stuff.
When I get products with “this product was originally published in English (Canada).” (never been there btw) I’ll log onto the international site (eg .ca) and try and update it there if it’s being stubborn.
However since they’ve removed a lot of products from the international sites - the products are not even there to update (even though apparently I published it on that domain)

Hi @Westerngirl2 , Royalty changes are not reflected until after the 20th anywhere. Well, except this month they will be processed by the deadline mentioned in this post. I know there have been talks that the updated percentage used to stick when you went back into “Royalty information”, but this was changed and is no longer the case for months - hopefully this is what you’re referring to. I can see your requests are queued.
This is really cumbersome, James, especially for those of us who have multiple stores and many ornaments…or any other product. When the pending rate is not shown, it’s difficult to know which have been actually changed. Seeing some of them change immediately, and others not, even 3 or 4 days after the change has been made makes us wonder if they will ever change. So…I guess we are left to wait until the deadline date, and trust that they will actually change? That’s not very reassuring, as we won’t be able to change them after the deadline.
Why would Zazzle decide to hide that information from us?
Thanks, Sara. My dilemma is that I didn’t realize the requested new rate was no longer displayed to us in Edit. So when I found that virtually none of them had changed, and the old rate still appeared in Edit, I thought something had gone wrong and started changing them all again. STILL…very few changes show up.
And I was wrong about it being only 3 or 4 days; some of them go back 8 days.
This does not seem reliable.
OK, this is my experience with trying to change royalty rates on one particular product (ornaments) over a period of over a week.
Trying to change them by using the bulk change is hit or miss. Yes, some of them change, and almost instantly. Most do not…even after checking 3, 4, or more days after requesting the change. Not reliable.
Individually, I’ve changed hundreds of them. Some of them change immediately. Some of them do not change after 3 or 4 or 5 days. I’ve gone back and changed them again. Some of them change instantly. Some of them change after an hour or so. Some of them don’t change at all.
I’ve gone back and changed some of them 3 times. Sometimes, on the third try, they change instantly. I’m still working my way through hundreds of them across 6 stores.
My advice? Check and double check if you want the rate to actually change before the deadline. I’ve found that certain times of the day get better results (like very early morning). It makes sense. Good luck.
