As I mentioned when this format first came out - there is no way to locate the LAST RESPONSE to the various threads. I will not scan more than 5 pages of listings for the NEW and TOP posts. So there are always some posts that go unread.

I agree 100%. The original forum was so much easier to navigate and read. You didn’t miss posts. In this successor forum it’s always seemed impossible to figure out where all of the newest posts have landed if there are many and a huge time suck to find them all. Some may be close to the top, some may be buried further down with no way to find them once you start reading the first one, other than to inefficiently scroll through what are sometimes pages of posts. It’s way too time consuming to chase down the other new posts if they’re not obviously near the top. I’ve never gotten used to this version of the forum because of its many user unfriendly shortcomings.

If you change your forum settings to Linear layout instead of threaded it’s EZPZ, no hunting around for the newest comments.

Yes for those threads that are not hidden somewhere in the last 50 pages (currently) of all discussions, the latest response to the TOP (really unknown what the sort indicator is) responses, one can see the latest response. However, I usually end up with ONE or TWO unread responses that I just mark as read (without seeing them) after I have scanned the first 5-10 pages.
For instance, I just located one item in the middle of page 9 of HOT IDEAS and one on page 8, after scanning 10 pages of NEW IDEAS. The main page still shows 1 unread - it will be marked as read and lost to history.
I didn’t realize you were talking specifically about this Ideas & Suggestions forum. Yes, this one has always behaved strangely.
@ColsCreations I believe it is also the only thread that sorts by inverse date (new at the bottom) – UGH.
