I’m totally lost on this new forum. Are the old posts still available? If so where are they?

Old posts aren’t available. Everything is brand spanking new with these forums and are still a work in progress.

All new things take some getting used to. So far I do like the new forums but am sad we lost a lot of the old content that was so helpful. I would like to see the post that listed all the newest products back.
Well I just typed a reply and it said an unexpected error occurred so let me try again:
in another post a forum Mod stated something to this effect: the new forum is not done being built out and there are some posts that will be incorporated into this new forum.
So be patient there will be more content loaded in time

We’re all lost here with you. Hang in there, just take your time and explore. There’s always a bit of a learning curve with any new platform.
Thanks for the replies. The only thing I like so far about the new forum is that i don’t need to be logged in to read it. I’m also getting an error message when I try to log in. I have to log in from my store and then I click my bookmarked link to the old forum to get here.
By the way why am I listed as a visitor and not as a contributor like everyone else?
It looks like after you post a few times it updates to New Contributor.
I’m lost too. I feel like there is a lot of extra clicking with the new forum and I can’t find anything.

Is there a way to keep the signature for each time we post or do we have to add it to each post?
yes, Patricia, in your settings area I think it was under personal information there is a field where you can save a signature.

I’m lost too can’t find anything I used to post to. I’ve been absent from the forums for awhile.
I’m with you completely. I’m so sad to see this change to the forums area. I actually discovered the situation today by accident when I came here to show a friend what I considered to be an awesome example of the type of forums /bulletin board area we needed to have at our site.
Instead I find this yucky and hard to read new approach.
Very disappointing!!!

Is there any way to see a list of posts in a forum (subject and pos 1st line, one line per post)? As it is if there’s 20 posts shown you have to scroll down about 7 pages! Everything is too large, guess it was made for phones not desktop.

I don’t think there is, either, from what I can tell.
I don’t like this new version at all.
oh well, I guess we’re stuck with it, so may as well try to tolerate it.
It occurred to me that possibly the changes are to be more mobile-friendly.
Fine, good on mobile people, I don’t begrudge them a tool that looks good on the phone.
But we don’t all live with a phone in our hands and this new format is really not desktop friendly at all.
And I also don’t mind if lots of people prefer to live in the moment and are happy to only be able to see a few posts at a time. But for those of us who like to know our current location within a bigger picture, and even be aware of the bigger picture at all, this new version is very frustrating.
oh well, I guess we’ll just have to either get used to it, or not use it.

I agree, when I saw this forum the first thing that came to my mind is it’s made for mobile viewing
