Do curated collections track referrals?

Hi everyone!

I've recently been curating more collections that include both my own and other designers' products to create a more inspiring experience for visitors to my store.

While doing that, I noticed something I wanted to ask about:
When I share a curated collection (especially one that includes other people's designs), it seems like my referral ID doesn't carry over — even if I’m logged in and sharing from my own store.

I’m wondering:

  • Is this expected behavior, or am I missing something?

  • Has anyone found a reliable way to promote curated collections and still earn affiliate commissions?

  • Would it be helpful if there was a way to add our referral tracking to collections more easily?

Just curious how others are approaching this! Thanks in advance for sharing your experience

Hi @HoBiNi  you ask very good questions.

"Is this expected behavior, or am I missing something?"

Yes, when you are sharing your own product or your own Collection, your link will be a clean link. See the Ambassador Program to know why. It's to long an explanation for here.
If you were going to share someone elses product or Collection, your RF# for Affiliate Marketing would be attached.

"Has anyone found a reliable way to promote curated collections and still earn affiliate commissions?"

If you wish to earn affiliate $ on your curated Collection, you'll have to make a manual pin (creating a pin from scratch) to be able to attach your rf#. If you do not attach your rf# to your link url when making the pin, you won't earn $ if a customer buys products other than your own. You will earn 15% affiliate $ off of any product that sells from that Collection. THIS PAGE shows you what you need to add to a link.

"Would it be helpful if there was a way to add our referral tracking to collections more easily?"

My above link tells you how. If you wish to learn how to create a manual pin on Pinterest, search these forums for other questions regarding Pinterest. Use Pinterest's Help pages to learn more as well. YouTube videos may help you visually see how to make a manual pin.

Thank you so much for your detailed answers and links.
