Zazzle's royalty calculator lets you choose either a product price or a royalty rate and will change the other value accordingly, and shows you "royalty you will make". That figure has proven unreliable as it doesn't take into account the deduction if the sale is referred, sometimes it seems to be taking current sales into account, and sometimes it's just plain wrong for no logical reason. I got tired of "running the numbers" all the time trying to figure out how a royalty would shake out after fees and discounts when deciding what to set one at. And doing the same after a sale, trying to make sense of the very limited info shown in the royalty report. So a while back I made a spreadsheet to figure it all out for me. My spreadsheet can't determine the product price if you enter a royalty or the royalty if you enter a product price like Z's calculator does. You need to pull those two numbers from the Z calculator and enter them in the spreadsheet, and then everything else will be broken down for you: Now you can see all your various earnings scenarios, the amount of fees deducted, and can even enter a discount % to see what you'd earn when the item is on sale. You can also enter a quantity to see what you'd earn on a bulk sale, handy for say invites or other things were people usually by more than one. After a sale, you can plug in the subtotal they paid and the royalty % applied from the royalty report to "check the math" and see why the royalty paid might have been less than expected. In this example, $144 x 18% is $25.92, more than the $19.44 shown on the report. So I plugged the $144 and 18% into the spreadsheet and aha - it's a match for a third-party sale after the referrer fee and transaction fee were deducted. Now, i also know this item has a list price of $15. $15 x 12 is $180. So what discount they they get to arrive at the $144 subtotal paid? This time I entered my royalty, the list price, and quantity purchased, and then guessed the discount was either 15 or 20%. So I entered 20% in the spreadsheet and aha - yep, they had a 20% discount on this order. So you can use this in a lot of ways, before and after a sale, with no math required. There are only four fields you can enter numbers in: product price, your royalty %, and an optional discount and/or quantity. All other fields are calculated for you, and are also locked so you can't accidentally change/erase the formulas in them. (You can unlock the sheet though if you want, I set it so no password is required to do so.) This is what the actual sheet looks like: It's two calculators side by side so you can easily compare two different rates, or a list price vrs a sale price, or a single item vrs in quantity. My sheet can't account for getting dinged for when customers use secondary content in your design (that's just too convoluted a situation) or the 5% mess when User Options are applied to the pay out. But other than those two unpredictable sales situations, this is a pretty handy tool for helping decide on a royalty rate and figuring out our earnings after a sale. You can download it from this link, free, no-strings-attached. (If you find it useful, I wouldn't mind if you wanted to share/promote one of my products in return though. 😉 ) www.colscreations.com/SharedFiles/EarningsCalc.xlsx

I have the paid version of Lyn Analytics. It has worked fine, but recently, when I do a search in zazzle, and the products types, niches, etc come up on the drop down menu, there used to be totals beside each suggestion in the drop down menu. Now I am getting no number totals at all beside the auto suggested products. I contacted LynAnalytics. They have not answered me. I wrote to the once before and they did not answer me then either. I find th tools helpful but have suddenly lost functionality of one of the features. I checked the website to see if any updates and clicked on it, but nothing happened. Anyone have these problems, and have you gotten solutions or info. from them?

I have some exciting news. Ever since I started building the Snuggle Hamster Designs service for you guys I've wanted to be able to do more than just provide you with a bunch of tools to help you market your Zazzle products better. I have very much wanted to be able to directly offer you specific advice on how to improve your product's searchable texts. Here on Zazzle that's your product's name and tags of course. For Google, Pinterest, and other sites that also includes your product's description. Up to now I've been able to give you a lot of tantalizing clues like show you which of your keywords are most strongly associated with your sales. I can give you a good sense of how your products align with actual searches by Zazzle's customers. But this week I finally unveiled a powerful new AI analysis tool that looks at your product's gallery images and reads all your texts. It's powered by Google Gemini, one of the best LLMs presently available. This is a Premium agency feature, so you'll need to pay $19/mo (or $209/year) to access it. I know many of you are already experimenting with ChatGPT and other bots. Some are free and some of you are paying for more premium services. Those tools are great. But I think you're going to love how incredibly easy, fast, and practical our AI Advice tool is. When managing your product you'll see the new "AI Advice" tab: You don't need to have a long conversation with a chatbot. We do that part for you. But odds are good the bot will miss some things. So you get a chance to add some extra context that'll help it. Maybe you want to give it some clues about the artistic style. Or clarify what separates the design from the product it's printed on if it didn't get it right the first time. Or maybe drop some names that are trademarked that you would not want to share in your public description. Whatever might help. But then it's just a matter of pushing a button. Here's a taste of what you'll get back from the bot The bot has a lot to say! You can expand and collapse the sections so you can just focus on the parts you most care about: As a bonus, we keep all the queries you've sent about your product. You can go back in time to see what the bot had to say each time: To be sure, I don't want to suggest that you should simply copy and paste everything you get back from the AI bot. You know these things "hallucinate" a lot. Some of what they have to say is just factually wrong. And they're bound to miss some of the great things you already have to say about your products. But I think you're going to be surprised by the observations you get just by clicking a button. Hold its hand by giving it some extra context and you'll be even more amazed. Each of these sections contains actionable, practical insights about your products. Pick and choose what you think fits your taste and combine it with your own flair for words. If you're paying for an AI tool already you just might be able to let that subscription go. Sure you have to pay our subscription fee. But you might already have been considering us for all our other Premium features anyway. Maybe this new feature gives you a reason to switch to us for AI help with your product texts. Cheers.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share a tool I've been using recently that’s really helped with my Zazzle store. It's a Chrome extension called Zazzlytics, and it provides insights into product performance, keywords, and trending designs. Here are a few ways I’ve found it helpful: Discovering High-Demand Keywords: It suggests keywords with potential sales data, helping me optimize my listings. Identifying Bestsellers: I can quickly see which designs are trending in my niche. Analyzing Competitors: It lets me explore other sellers' stores and bestselling products. I’m curious—how do you all research keywords or track trends for your products? Have you found any tools or techniques particularly helpful? Let’s discuss!

What's the difference between a successful online business and a hobby? A hobby is not earning enough (at least minimum wage but preferably much much more per hour) from an activity. If you want your Zazzle store(s) to provide you with the payout you desire, and not have it be a hobby, then the first step is to set your earnings goal (or sales goal - either way - your 2025 measure of monetary success of your Zazzle store). Without a goal you are just drifting. I drifted for many years because I was too overwhelmed to set a goal. I was frustrated by goal setting until I developed my own goal setting system called ERSD. I would either be disappointed because I set my goal too high and wouldn't reach it (talk about self doubt and how to reinforce those feelings) OR I would set my goal too low so I could say I achieved it but be disappointed that I wasn't accomplishing what I really wanted ...or worse I would overachieve the low goal and then have FOMO because I wondered what if I had set my goal higher? Would I have achieved it? Can you relate? That's why my ERSD goal setting technique became such a game changer for me. Now I set an EASY, REASONABLE, STRETCH and DREAM goal in order to aspire to my desired dream goal but also celebrate mini wins along the way. Plus it makes it fun to strive towards the dream goal without all the pressure. You can get all the details on how to use my ERSD Goal Setting Technique here Mindset and setting goals are the most important contributors to success. That is why, if you struggle with this, I encourage you to give the ERSD goal setting technique a try - it helps with both. The second step is to create a business plan to achieve your 2025 Zazzle Sales dream goal. I do this by unpacking the big scary number (my 2025 Zazzle Sales Goal) with a logical plan. I have a workbook and a process I go through every year that helps me reach my desired dream sales goals year after year. Now you can access this too along with my unique process that has helped me achieve my sales goals every year. I am holding a LIVE walk through and Q&A on Monday January 13th. If you can't make it there will be a replay. I do charge a small fee for this - statistics show time and time again that people succeed more if they have paid for a service or training. BUT for this community I will make you a special offer that the money you pay to access this educational training can be 2X credited towards either of my Zazzle courses and before October 31, 2025. ie. If you spend $100 then you will receive $200 credit towards either the Print on Demand Starter Kit (basic self study course) or The Profit by Design Academy (In-depth course and coaching - doors open in March) Click this link to save your seat for the 2025 Sales Planning Workshop and receive the workbook and a ticket to our fun vision board party as bonuses. Note: If you are enrolled in the PDA right now - you get access for free as a bonus. The third step is to define your WHY which you will be doing on Jan 14th in our BONUS Vision Board Party. Feel confident to set your 2025 Zazzle Sales Goals, create a doable product production plan to carry out, and have fun at the same time. Let's do this together! Hello! I am curious if anyone has used the mockup functionality of Adobe Illustrator (2025). I tried to look a bit through older posts, but I haven't seen anything recent. I am curious about their library of mockups and how easy they are to use. I am currently a subscriber to the Photography Plan, and I'm considering subscribing to All Apps right now while I can purchase it for half off. Thanks for your thoughts! Amanda

It's been a while since I've been able to announce a major new feature for Snuggle Hamster Designs. But I think you'll find this is worth the wait. The Keywords that Sell feature finds all the keywords associated with your actual sales and shows you which ones are the most strongly correlated with sales by comparing them with how those same keywords are used in non-selling products. Here's an example using one of our own stores: Gargi's biggest sellers have indeed had Hawaii themes. Santorini is one of the next best selling themes. What's going on here is not just that we're finding all the keywords in product names, tags, and descriptions of your products that have sold. We also are comparing that to how many times those keywords are used in products that have not yet sold. Why? Because we want to help you find those words strongly correlated with success in selling. In fact you can control how strongly you want to weed out keywords that are also found in unsold products to test this correlation. One cool feature of this is that it uses word stemming rules to group together related words like "travel", "travels", "traveling", and "travelled" into single lemmas. It does mean that sometimes those lemmas look funny. Like with "parti", which matches "party", "parties", and "partying". We recommend using this new tool in conjunction with the Niche Explorer tool to find out how your best keywords line up with searches real customers have been performing on Zazzle. Keywords that Sell is a Premium agency feature requiring a currently $19/mo ($209/yr) subscription. But Basic agencies see a limited version showing the top 3 keywords for each of their stores. Incidentally. I'm fairly sure nobody else is offering this capability anywhere. This is unique to SHD. This new feature reflects a core value of Snuggle Hamster Designs. We want you to focus on comparing yourself to yourself instead of focusing so much on your competitors. Success on Zazzle comes primarily from working hard to create unique designs and being the best in your niche, big or small. Not copying other people. Come set up your Zazzle stores for free on SHD and see what else we have to offer. There's no obligation to pay for a Basic agency. You can also join our Discord server. You don't have to set up your agency to participate in discussions. And people there will be happy to give their opinions of SHD if you'd like. Most of what we discuss is Zazzle and PoD news. Cheers.

Are there any tools out there to help creative zazzlers get their stuff seen? I am talking about unique artistic colorful creative stuff that doesn't use AI or templates. Tech wise I know photoshop, illustrator, affinity, word, and similar programs the best. Also real world drawing, painting and photography. I signed up for the snuggle hamster but it looks so confusing and I have to find my discord password to even begin to figure it out. I know of RSS but I don't really get it either. Like I used to try to do those rich pins but I wanted a variety of my stuff shown not just one or two designs. I don't understand anylitics. I tried doing an extension but you had to pay for every useful feature and I can't afford that right now. Trying to just do it on zazzle they are like views 0, clicks 0, etc... Well state why please. As in say that cute retro fun colorful artistic music design is a bad keyword and say exactly why in English while sad grey drab demure is a good keyword even though it has nothing to do with your designs. I've got a website it also doesn't get views ever. Sigh. If I was super technical I wouldn't be doing this, I just want to make cute and funny designs.

@1WhoConquers Copying part of your comment from this thread in the Tech forum to start a discussion here as I have lots of questions and am probably not the only one who could benefit from understanding more about RSS feeds and their potential as a promotional tool. I am appealing to the teacher in you to approach this from the angle that I (and other readers) know NOTHING yet about RSS feeds so need to start with the very basics before going into advance uses. 😉 Don't know RSS? Oh, now you've opened a can of worms! I really need to write this up for the tricks and tips board, but I'm a teacher at heart, so here we go... RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a tool used to conglomerate various sources of information and "push" them. As a person, you would use an RSS reader app, tell it all the websites you want to read regularly, and have it just pull all the new info regularly so you don't have to remember to go back to all those spots manually. Handy for news websites and blogs. And Zazzle has been kind enough to give us RSS versions of all our stores' URLS. Not only that, you can add an affiliate id to the RSS URL and it will automatically get translated into affiliate commissions. I have a basic understanding (which is likely wrong) of what an RSS feed is and I know we can make them for our Zazzle stuff. I think of an RSS feed as something you embed on a website in a little box so visitors can scroll the box for all the latest whatever from the site the feed is for. So like maybe it would be for weather or breaking news or all the latest articles regarding a certain topic of interest to your visitors. So in my mind an RSS feed is something you add to your website/blog (maybe we'd call it a widget now?) for the benefit/interest of visitors. But it seems like from reading it's the reverse, that RSS feeds are made by viewers so they can "pull in" stuff from a website without actually going to the website. This very first concept is where my brain starts going into convulsions. Is the webmaster making & displaying RSS feeds for visitors to their site, or are visitors setting up their own RSS feeds to monitor the website? The last time I gave any thought to RSS feeds was several years ago. What I realized then was that to see an RSS feed you need a feed reader app, otherwise you just see a string of behind-the-scenes coding gibberish like this when I click your link in the other thread to your sample RSS feed. I use Firefox as my everyday default browser and it does not have a feed-reader built-in. I recall searching for a feed-reader add-on and the choices were too numerous & complicated for a beginner who just wants to see what an RSS feed is supposed to look like these days. So keeping all this in mind, my first questions as a total beginner are: 1) Can you recommend a simple RSS feed reader add-on that will let me see feeds as intended? 2) If you add a feed "widget" to your site/blog, what does it look like to people who do not have a feed-reader add-on? I have tried Googling up examples of sites with embedded RSS feeds and get nowhere, just get results that tell me how to add a site's content to my own reader app. Sigh. 3) If ones main purpose in using RSS feeds is to promote, how does that work? The viewer would have to have a RSS reader in their browser to see your feed as intended? So that's my first round of questions. Are RSS feeds primarily something a site adds as helpful content for viewers, or are they something viewers create themselves for the site for their own convenience?

I've been reconnecting with the Zazzle RSS feed to get some of my domains doing something. I used to have a great POD income and then "the change" happened. I was also working with another POD's api and the Zazzle RSS feed to create some tools for the community. It looks like nothing has really changed with the Zazzle feed, but it wouldn't take much tweaking to allow people to create some amazing tools for the community - designers, affiliates, and of course for Zazzle. I've sent a message to Z to see about connecting with someone there, but thought I'd share my own wishlist here. Feel free to share your own ideas or hopefully see something and say "Oh, you can do that like this!". My current wishlist: Add a current sale price as a child item so that on-demand feeds can use that price to show and create a "Sale!" urgency. Add a design-specific feed that pulls all products with a specific design and accompanying info (thumbnails, link, price, etc.) If able to provide this, then add "designId" to the regular feed so we can do "More with this design". Add a product-specific feed that includes more thumbnails and other information on that product. For example, pulling this shirt - Kolaches? Czech! T-Shirt | Zazzle - also includes links or some type of info that shows it's available in the other 3 styles and what colors are available in the current style.

Hi everyone, I am currently working on a WordPress plugin for my website which allows me to fetch product data via Zazzle's RSS feed and then post it as a product to my website, displaying the product in categories and on product pages. I have to say that I am not a programmer by any means. I dabbled a bit here and there in the past, but for this plugin I decided to use ChatGPT to help me get what I want. I am making great strides. I have a search function in the backend of my website to enter a search term, the plugin then displays the results and I can choose which products I want to post by clicking on a post button. The plugin is also looking at whether the product already exists on my site and updates the data, which will be helpful when the product price is changing. So far I am displaying the product image that the feed offers me. However, it appears via the RSS feed I can only get the main product image. I would like to get and display the other product images as well. Is there a way to do this?
