I was wandering Zazzle's About page (https://www.zazzle.com/about) when, about a third of the way down, I spotted this under "Inspiring Creators":
"We have 300mm+ shareable designs, thanks to our robust community of over 900 thousand independent creators."
300mm has to be an error, but what did they really mean? Possibly 300 million? And what is indicated by "shareable"? On social media, maybe? Then there are those 900 thousand designers. Surely they can't all be active...or could they?
Spotting things like this are a sign that I'm avoiding housework.

Interesting. When I filter products to All, it says there are 20,471,421 products in the MP. I find it easy to believe that there are 10 million products hidden from the MP for a total of ~30 million products total. 280 million hidden products seems a bit of a stretch.
I can believe that over the course of Zazzle's history, 900K have created stores. Are they all active now? I seriously doubt it. I am willing to bet there are many thousands who opened stores, posted a few products and then never were heard from again.
Now go do those dishes. 😉

Hmmm... according to this page, in corporate/accounting jargon "mm" means millions. MM (Millions) - Definition, Examples, What MM Means (corporatefinanceinstitute.com)
Going to go finish putting the newly cleaned crisper shelves back into the fridge now! 😂

So it's corporate "speak." Who knew? I'll put off trying to unravel the numbers in that quote.
So, I learned a new term after having made up a batch of my special flour while my husband went out to cut dead branches. Therefore, we have Father's Day pretty much covered.

Wait... you make flour? What does that mean? Do you actually mill the wheat yourself or something?

I'm incapable of digesting gluten, but the gluten-free bread they sell in the supermarket is outrageously expensive and totally awful, So, I bought a small grain mill to make the main ingredient, which is both white and brown rice flour.

Wow! Well that makes complete sense. I was having flashbacks to Little House on the Prairie - The Long Winter! 😉

In reference to the thread, I thought "mm" was a typo as well. (to keep things on track)
In reference to getting in trouble- it was a genuine Zazzle related question from Barbara with a little bit of an aside about the housework. That in turn left a couple more little asides in replies to the housework part that made me smile and reminded me of the old forum where we would get to have the super random conversations. There isn't enough jibber gabber for anyone to get their comment removed...except maybe mine now!😂 but I think the mods just don't want convos completely derailed or irrelevant to Z. A little tidbit about the housework - or bread- as a wink at the end of a reply isn't going to cause an issue.

The "Everything Else" forum was a wonderful mishmash, a place where we all got to know one another better, and best of all, to laugh. While going through a very long episode with a bad back, people there gave wonderful suggestions for books to read. BUT, that was when all the forums were private, so passersby and bombardier seagulls couldn't see any of it. Zazzle has become very strict now that the forums are public, which is understandable, and yet, it would be great if they could give us a private arena for blowing off silly steam.
I learned about tabletop grain mills from homesteader videos, which are akin to Little Houses on the Prairie. It's fun watching them but it sure isn't how I want to live.
