How do I default my designs to NOT include the independent creator credit qr code?

I don't want my customers to have to pay a fee to remove the independent creator credit qr code. I've seen other designers on Zazzle whose designs don't automatically have the qr code on them. Is there a way to do this?

As far as I know there's no default way to do this. You have to publish with the code showing, then go and Edit your design - Edit Details - Product Merchandising - Change Options - Scroll to the bottom and you'll find the checkbox for showing the code or not.  Hope that helps!

Hmm, I've seen other products from other shops that default to no independent creator credit and you have to check the box to add it. That's what I'd like for mine, but mine you have to check the box to remove it.

I guess we both thought you were looking for a global default setting that would apply to all of your products. If you follow the instructions that @tiffjamaica gave you (i.e.: turn it off under product merchandising), it will set it off by default, but only for that particular product.

Actually, you can change it under product merchandising when you're posting it for sale - but you can't default it to being off, you have to remember to go change it while you're posting it... which I never do, so I end up having to go in and edit it after the fact like you said. Gah!

Thank you! I did figure out how to do it that way per product, so that when you click on the product the box is automatically checked to "Remove Independent Creator Credit." It still charges the customer though. I was hoping to have it say "Add Independent Creator Credit." and automatically be unchecked, as I've seen in some other designers listings.

OK, I am officially confused! If you check the box to remove it in product merchandising, the box will be checked by default for the customer, and the price for the removal will be included in the price shown to the customer like this one: Simple Watercolor Pine Trees Photo on Back Holiday Card | Zazzle

Zazzle will always charge the customer more to have the qr code removed, whether they do it themselves or you set it that way by default.

Ohhh, I understand. Yeah, for now I'm going through all my products and setting the default to check the box automatically for "Remove Independent Creator Credit."

why has it never occurred to me to do this? Haha - thank you!

Oh my gosh, I think I figured it out.

When listed as a Greeting Card, it will make you check the box to "Remove Independent Creator Credit."

BUT, when listed as an Invitation, it says "Add Independent Creator Credit." So it defaults to not putting it on there for invitations.

The clouds have lifted! I knew that it was off by default for invitations, but I didn't realize that the box worked backwards - guess that would make sense, but it IS confusing!

BTW, I just created a folded invitation, and it works like the cards do - so the QR code is there by default. Gah!
