Hey Gang---to use the macros, Name a macro in the first line in one of the macro spots in settings. Then put your code in the second box. Click DONE at bottom. Next time you post, choose that macro which you just named.
(You will see a MACROS button in the functions line atop your post --maybe you won't see that before you have made at least one macro in your settings). I made one that lets me type in this purple font with this formatting without having to click any other buttons on the top of this box.

And where did I see "Macros" yesterday? You say "one of the macro spots in settings" Where is this "settings" located?

Go up top left, click on your profile pic. Settings are in the panel that opens when you click.

I know how to use HTML, if that's what's used in a macro, but I've no idea how to set up a macro for here. Can you give an example?

Go to https://community.zazzle.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-macros
In Macro 1 title, put Italics I made
In Macro 1, put this <p><em>I love it when text is emphasized.</em></p>
Click done in at bottom of page.
Open a post. click Macros at top of post. Choose Italics I made
you get this
I love it when text is emphasized.
The macro you enter need NOT be HTML, either. It can just be words

You used basic HTML for your italics, but you're saying I could, for instance, add a pet phrase without any markup and it would work? I'm going to have to start thinking about this. 🙂 I'm so used to macros being a list of instructions such as in MS Word, Photoshop, and good old MS-DOS, that I thought it had to be some complicated series of things.
Thank you for explaining.

I know how to add a link to text and color to it with html but have no idea how to add color or add text to a link with the macro. I couldn't find any info on it. I just want to add my page with a purple or blue color.

I think you may be asking about how to have a colored signature which is a link? https://community.zazzle.com/t5/community-help/template-codes-for-your-forum-signature/m-p/2715#M152 Does this help?
I think I tried to have a colored linkable in a macro and was not able to make that work. The furthest I got was this.

It's possible the info in the link I post here will help you make a macro which is linkable and also fully colored.

Kashmier. I'm trying to learn about Macros too. I just wanted to point out though when I clicked on your "Visit Leatherwood" I got this error. Invalid Parameters Specified
I'm sure I'll have some errors too. Good luck!!!

Sorry for sounding dumb but what is macros and what would you use it for? From the posts here I take it that it has something to do with formatting your post?

Original Artist WindyDesign Created this macro so that i can make green letters by pressing the Macros button. So yes, it helps me to format a post if I want to use fancy letters. Not sure I do, most of the time. but I can also press one of my macro buttons and get an instant link to my pinterest.

That's about all.....so
That's a wrap!
So that's me using three macros above. I had fun playing with them, use them now and then.

Getting an instant link in a post sounds like macros can actually be of some use
