Once I open my store, I would like to link to my own website. I am located in the United States. What website platform do you like and why?
What domain company do you use?

I use WordPress for my website. The vast amount of themes, plugins and ways to customize it to your liking is so far unbeatable for me.

Does Wordpress have a high learning curve? I know that my server does have an automatic install but I'm curious if updates are a hassle? Thank you so much.

Once you get used to it, it is pretty easy. I use Wordpress and I have used Wix in the past. Wix is by far the easiest to set up but I've been told the Wordpress is superior in SEO. Click to check out my site for reference. https://www.dotellabelle.com

I took a look at your website. It acts as a website and links you back to zazzle. Can you set it up as a store front business? Can you link other platforms in addition to zazzle?

Once you have it installed it is fairly easy to learn how things work. Updates can happen on 3 fronts. The WordPress itself, the plugins and the theme. In all 3 cases it is usually just clicking on an update button. Plugins can now also be updated automatically if you set it up.

I used Ionos, which had been 1&1. I found it hard to use and after a while they started charging me stray fees all the time. The website was too much work for my particular interests here at Zazzle, so I gave it up.
I also do Postcrossing!

I use Name Cheap for both my domain and website. My website is made from scratch but you can also setup a Wordpress site at Name Cheap. They also give free WHois with domains which most other companies don't.
Disclosure- That's an affiliate link in my post, not sure if they are allowed on the new forum

I don't have any input for a proper website- I haven't got a "real" website, but i do have 2 blogs that I have purchased lovely templates for and I bought domains at Go Daddy who I believe host websites as well, but I can't remember.
It is the best option for me because I only need it as a hub and not something that can handle an ecommerce store plus the blog is free and the domain cost per year is very reasonable so I have no monthly fees.

I use Wordpress with Bluehost. Once you have selected a theme it is pretty easy to use. Here is a link to my site. I have set up a shop section. https://www.dotellabelle.com
