New Collection Management Issues

Love the new collection management but am having difficulty with one of my collections.  For my collection entitled, First Christmas, one of my products, a holiday card, shows up under "Bonus Products" instead of under the "Recommended Products." When I try to add the product to the required space for Holiday Cards, it gives me the option to add other cards, but not the one that is specifically designed for that collection. The one that appears under the Bonus Products. Is there a way that I can move my holiday card from the bonus products to the required space?

Who really knows. It could be the blank that you started from not being seen by the system as an 'official' holiday card.

You could test out this theory by transferring the design  to the official holiday card type and see if it appears?

Unless it's a departmental issue - and your holiday card is in a different department than the one that Z want's it to be. You could move departments and see if it is accepted?

A lot of testing to do and I have no clue 😂

I had similar issues for some products and could correct them by editing the product's details and modifying the category to the right one.

Here's part of something that's under the Bonus Products with the !  And, I still don't understand what it's saying about being able to "view which department a slot is matching against by clicking on it and viewing the department(s) listed at the top."

If anyone can explain this to me, I'd appreciate it.  Nothing happens when I click on "it"....(I'm clicking on the product photo) and nothing is happening.

Ahhh, nevermind, I get "it" now.  So, it's like Nadja says.  Click each product to change the category, and then refresh the collection tool.  It switches automatically then.  [sigh]. Oy Vey!

What would be the right category for christmas holiday cards?

Just found out that I was putting only "greeting cards" and not seeing the next line of options. Now it appears correctly on my collection.

Well, I have tried all of the suggestions above, and then some. I have edited Events and Occassions to read, Holidays > Christmas. Recipient > For Anyone, and Category> Christmas > Cards.  Product still appears under bonus products. Hmm... I'm probably doing something wrong, but I don't know...

@A_New_View have you refreshed the collection once you have changed the actual Marketplace Department of the card?

Not sure if it's a new feature since I first wrote or not, but I have finally been able to solve the issue by using the hover feature over the individual product when in the collection management. The hover feature now gives the option to select "Make Preferred Collection". Don't know if it's something I missed before or if it's newly added. Either way, thank you to the Zazzle team. It works.

Sorry if I'm jumping on here, but I can't work out how to delete products from a collection.  When I hover, nothing happens (although that could be as I am using a tablet).  Thanks.

Hi,CloLee, have you tried going to the product page and clicking the button marked "actions"? If you do this, a drop-down box will appear with several options. "Delete' is one of the options. It's a bit towards the bottom, but it's there. At least it is on my end. Best of luck to you!

You will have to click on the actions button which is located just below the individual product. Hope this helps!

Well, the problem wasn't solved as I had thought. On some of my other collection pages I am given the option to "Make Preferred Collection" but still having same issue as before with one of my Christmas collections. It would be really nice if the "Make Preferred Collection" option was applied to these products, as well.

Problem was resolved when I transferred design onto another Holiday Card. Not sure what happened there, but it works. Thanks again to everyone at Zazzle for the amazing work that goes on behind the scenes. 💕
