Not able to add newly optimized designs to the Show Me Forum

Many of the "need optimization" designs have obviously not been seen for awhile due to being "hidden". So after doing some optimization and tweaking, I've tried to add to the Show Me Forum.  Proceeded as I have always done.It shows that the design has been added but then when I go back a few minutes later there is no sign of the design I added.  Never had this happen before.  Any ideas of why or how I can rectify this?   Thanks for any suggestions.

Make sure the product has been made public in the backend (as optimization doesn't automatically change product status from hidden to public).

WHS Designs, that is very good advice.  After having learned about that, I no longer have that as a problem. Still, I appreciate that you took time to suggest that because others might be like me and not realize you have to do that.  After I optimized and tweaked my designs and checked to make them public and later tried to add them to the Show Me Forum so they could (hopefully) start getting some views, they got added and then disappeared!  Granted I added (tried to) to the Show Me Forum just minutes after doing the optimization.  Do you think that it is a time thing and that it takes awhile for them to ACTUALLY go public even though they have been changed back to public?

the dreaded indexing delay may very well affect products that have been restored to public status. they may take a while to reappear on the marketplace.

one thing I've noticed is that if I post a product to a Show Me thread on a page other than page 1, it will look like it's not there after I've shared the product there.

make sure to pop over to the first (newest) page of that Show Me thread. your product should appear immediately below the OP's post.

@WHS_Designs,  I think I have figured it out.  After further investigation, I  discovered that the postings were set to Oldest to Newest thereby placing my new posting way at the end.  Just on a whim I started looking through the many other postings under each area in which I posted an item and there were the "missing" postings.  I am not sure how the almost half dozen different items (metal prints, keychains, pillows, etc) all were changed to oldest to newest.  I certainly did not consciously do it and to my recollection have never done it.  Also to do it for each of the different areas by accident would seem strange.   I will be paying more attention to that from now on.   Anyway,  so glad the mystery is solved and so appreciative of your help.  Thank you.

If I click on the unread posts link in any Show Me forum thread, it will not send me to the first (most recent) page.

I can't explain why Oldest to Newest was the sequence shown either, but glad you figured it out.
