Please Expound upon the "Share this Cart" feature in the checkout process...

I noticed this today when I went to check out.  I did not click on it to see what it is all about though.  I was hoping Zazzle could explain it a bit.

One thing I am curious about is if selecting that provides a link that we could then promote.

But I would like to know all about it... searching help revealed nothing... or at least I couldn't find anything about it.

Thanks

I'm unsure how much there is to describe...it shares the contents of your Cart with another user.

If you add some products to your cart, then click on the Share Cart button then a box pops up where you can add some email addresses. A link is then sent to the recipient(s), and if they follow the link they'll be taken to the Cart page and the product(s) will appear in their Cart. They'll be asked to log in (or create a new account) then they can check out.

I would try it for yourself. Start in a logged out state, then edit a product or two, and add them to Cart. In the Cart page click on the Share Cart button and add your own email address. Submit. Then when the email arrives you copy the link from the email and paste it into an incognito browser and see how it goes.

I'd experiment with it to see if the feature will suit your needs.

@PacifierCity

I just did a test item, share this cart gives you the option to share your info with another person. You add your name, your message, their email, then send. So now z has their email to add to their mailing list. 😶

Thanks @Scott

I'll have to take a look as I'm curious about the link sent... if it is in plain text that I can copy etc...

Have a good day!
