Stolen Designs on Temu

Has anyone had any success in getting temu to remove a stolen design? One of my Zazzle products (a blanket) has been copied - surely as temu doesn’t have original design I’m assuming that their version would very low quality/blurry? Is there any way Zazzle can support/way to report?

I highly doubt you'll have any success... If I'm not mistaken Temu is a direct ship company run out of China. They have little regard for US copyright laws and we've no way of enforcing them. A DMCA only works if the web site is hosted in the US.. (or in a country that has an equivalent process)
Take a little comfort in that they are likely selling it at cut rate prices on a cheaply made product with sub-par printing... those who might buy it probably wouldn't pay what Z charges anyway, and those who are willing to pay Z prices probably know they are getting a superior product... You probably aren't really losing sales, because those folks wouldn't have ever purchased here anyway and some who try will learn to not go back.

Its just as likely that the store are straight out scams which have no intention of actually shipping any products.

Definitely my opinion (at least what my case concerns) as well. I refuse to download the Temu app so I don’t really know how they are structured but why would someone who’s just lifting designs from other websites actually bother with shipping anything? It’s not like we can show up at their doorstep and demand our paid for products, sigh.

@AimeeMarie   I have posted recently about a site stealing at least three of my designs and plenty of other Zazzle’s designer’s work and Zazzle took my post down within a couple of hours. It’s heartbreaking to say the least. 😐

I did turn in that site and the domain has been taken down. But the thieves just pointed the content to other domains (at least ten or more) so it’s very disappointing. I’m sorry for your case.

Sorry to hear this! It’s really unfair 😒 How did you turn in the site?

@AimeeMarie   I have created a DMCA notice but also emailed the Harrison/Walz campaign (because the site was asking for donations for Kamala which they than during checkout turned into “tips”) and I also wrote to the hosting upline. Kamala’s campaign emailed me a canned reply (I actually doubt that a human had read my email) and none of the other places sent me a reply or acknowledgement (so I don’t know if or what was effective) but the domain had been taken down.

How did you find the pirated designs?

@Jadendreamer13  I don’t know how AimeeMarie found hers. I simply entered my product title into Google and it popped right up. Going forward I will do that periodically with all my designs (if I’m in the mood for it). The thieves didn’t even change the title and used my description and keywords too. And no, they were no affiliates of Zazzle.

@Jadendreamer13  PS: I’m thinking reverse image search might also be a good way to find them.

That's how I stumbled one one of my designs from a tree skirt being used on, of all things, an umbrella, complete with my exact same title. [shaking head]

Came across when checking how high design was on Google. Used to be one of the top results now the stolen version is ranking higher.

ARGH! That happened to me with one of my most stolen shirt designs. Ripoffs on Amazon are now the top results. I successfully got most of them taken down, but one was altered just enough that they won't pull it. Absolutely infuriating.

I was curious how you guys are finding stolen items, but I’m now thinking that if I look to see which of my designs might have been stolen, it would give me unnecessary anxiety—since it seems that there is little I can do about that. It is infuriating, though.

Yeah this is why I dont search. It would make me so angry and be terrible for my mental health! I see enough copied designs right here on Zazzle! 🙄

I just recently saw a pin on Pinterest for a pillow that made me do a double-take as recognized the colorful pattern as mine but not one I've used on a product anywhere - It's what I was using years ago as the cover banner for my personal FB page! I followed the pin link to Amazon and then via the 'suggested other products you might like' below saw it on four different pillows from four different seller names. So weird. I don't even care, I was just, mind blown, like huh, I recognize that as my old FB cover. 🤔

Ugh. I'm so sorry! I've seen so so so many creatives post recently about Temu and Shein stealing their work. If I can remember who the most recent one I saw was who also posted what it took to get her work down from both of those sites, I'll pass it along. It's not impossible, but I think it takes some effort unfortunately.
