Strange response from Customer Support

I just had a customer contact me saying he had an error on the address on his invitation. He said he couldn’t cancel in his account so I recommended he contact Customer Support. They told him they couldn’t do anything about it because it was already going to print so they told him to contact the designer as I could help him…which, of course, I can’t. What do you suggest I do? Thanks.

You don't need to do anything other than advise him there is nothing you can do and you're sorry he was misinformed. It is the users error unfortunately and when he receives them he may choose to seek a refund. 

Note I had a similar issue a very long time ago, and was assured customer service staff do not refer back to us.
