Technical question for a product to be Optimized

Going through my hidden products for Optimization, I noticed something funny about the result for a product link.  This is the first time I've seen any link add additional things to a normal URL link.  My question is, why is all this stuff added to my URL link?

https://www.zazzle.com/santa_claus_cookie_product_label-217872024258737236?design.areas=%5Bzazzle_st...

This should be the right URL link:  https://www.zazzle.com/santa_claus_cookie_product_label-217872024258737236

Can anyone explain why this happens?

I just found another one.

https://www.zazzle.com/ice_skating_christmas_santa_claus_holiday_card-137860090280469795?design.area...

Should be:

https://www.zazzle.com/ice_skating_christmas_santa_claus_holiday_card-137860090280469795

If this has to do with the design area being wrong, or needs correcting, why wouldn't I receive just an email to fix it?  Also, when I looked at this one in the design mode, it seems to be cropped perfectly.

I don't know where you are copying the links from, but it's nothing to worry about. They are just parameters defining which product option(s) and view to display.

If you're on the product page and use the share icon to get the link to copy, you'll see it defines whatever options you've clicked on:

https://www.zazzle.com/santa_claus_cookie_product_label-217872024258737236?style=heart_sticker&size=1.5&media=matte&design.areas=[zazzle_sticker_heart_front_front2]&social=true&view=113622654518838902&rf=238499276722080691

zazzle.com/santa_claus_cookie_product_label-217872024258737236
?style=heart_sticker
&size=1.5
&media=matte
&design.areas=[zazzle_sticker_heart_front_front]
&social=true
&view=113622654518838902
&rf=238499276722080691

That way you can share the item with different product options and image from what you have published it as as default.
You usually see this when clicking through to products direct from your Royalty Report as well. (That's how you can see what size/shape/style etc) the customer selected.)

So like I said, I don't know where you are copying these links from, but it doesn't have anything to do with why they need Optimizing. 😉
