I have questions regarding ZAZZLE STORE CATEGORIES and CATEGORY TREES. I did post this under STORE MANAGEMENT and DID NOT receive a response. I am working against a DEADLINE to get my ZAZZLE shop up and running. That stated I have read the article Zazzle provides regarding STORE CATEGORIES. I have also bookmarked the Zazzle Site Map.
How many VISIBLE store subcategories should a shopkeeper have nested beneath a MAIN STORE CATEGORY?
Let's say CLOTHING is the MAIN STORE CATEGORY how many VISIBLE SUBCATEGORIES should one have nested beneath a main category like CLOTHING?
How many clicks should it take for customers to locate what they are looking for in terms of products?
I have NOT seen this topic covered anywhere.
Examples of good Category Trees and Category Tree structure would be appreciated.
I hope this question is NOT too broad or vague.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer these questions regarding Categories and Category Trees.

@TAngelone
Look at Zazzle's category tree:
https://www.zazzle.com/custom/gifts
You can see how they have listed and arranged products, should be a good guideline for you.
Their clothing list has subcategories to follow.
As far as how many clicks to get to what a customer is looking for, it depends on the product, the image on the product, where the product is listed in someone's shop and their category lists. Too broad a question to venture a specific answer w/out tracking data, as Z probably does.

idraw - Thanks for your response. And yes I know this is a rather broad and loaded question. I am in the process of posting a more detailed set of questions regarding this topic. Yes I did visit the link you provided which is appreciated. However I am still a bit confused. I am sorry. But I DO NOT want to set up my store which is set to PRIVATE only to find out that I need to reorganise my store categories. I have literally between 1000 and 2000 products I need to organise into product collections. Store category structure and organisation can and will determine the success or failure of any Zazzle store. Thanks again. Will post more once I have heard back from the Zazzle Creator Designer Support Team. I reached out to them via email. I will also make a follow phone call to Zazzle directly if needed.
Again I do appreciate your responses to my loaded questions.
What I would highly recommend that Zazzle do is be more detailed and more specific in terms of their help articles which while needed and appreciated give only surface information. Sorry but this is NOT a personal attack on Zazzle but it is frustrating when you feel lost and are unable to get your questions sufficiently answered.
