As per https://www.zazzle.com/collections
More and more collections are appearing in the top ranks NOT because the products in them are the most popular (by the designer) or because they've added 'best sellers' of OTHER designers but because they are adding Zazzle BLANKS to their collections which be default ARE more popular than any other products on Zazzle.
I raised this issue months ago because collections featuring other designers products and now 'Zazzle Blanks' by default float to the top and yet the STORE and DESIGNER showing is the one who created the collection. Increasing their exposure.
I suggested a way to circumvent this by having collections where OTHER accounts products are included by default do NOT show or link to a Designer Store.
As such affiliates can continue to create diverse collections for promotion on their own sites BUT the products of other creators and now Zazzle templates cannot be attributed to them on the Zazzle Marketplace.
We keep being reassured that this trending collection pile has no relevance but that doesn't mean these collections do not similarly outrank others in routine searches on the MP?

Honestly, how does a potential customer even find that Trendy Collections page?
What would you consider a "... routine searches on the MP" for collections look like Leah?

routine search is 'any' search a customer does where 'collections' will soon be 'routinely appearing' ... 'soon I assume?'.

I did joyfully note that one such collection I checked has indeed had the store name removed and it does NOT link back or identify with whoever created the collection.
Affiliates creating collections won’t be affected by these changes.
Meanwhile , I recently learned creators can no longer add other creators items to their collection so a great big thank you for that!!
