Out of Stock Products Disappear from Collection Back End

I was trying to complete a birthday collection and added a balloon. After I added the balloon and went back to check the collection in the back end, I found that the category itself had disappeared. I haven't noticed this happening before and my only guess is that this happened because the balloon is out of stock. However, it still shows the in public collection. 

This makes managing a collection and adding products to it more time consuming and confusing. Because of the large number of collection types, it isn't easy to remember exactly which are required/suggested in each collection. Since the backend order and public order are so different, it is hard to figure out what is going on in a large collection.

You are right, “birthday balloons” is gone from my collection and collection products. Round birthday balloons listed as out of stock. Heart shaped balloon products still available for sale tho.

Thank you for checking, I was rambling, but I really would like is for them to show in the backend all the time. Taking out the category makes it impossible for me to know exactly what I have in my collections on any given day.

Yes! I had this same problem with tissue paper when that was recently out of stock! I KNEW I had made certain designs of tissue paper, but then they weren't showing up in the collection back ends! I almost made them over again, until I went in my store and searched. And then I couldn't figure out why they were saying that they were already in the collection, but I couldn't find them there!
