Products in Collection Displaying in a Random Order

I've just made my first Collection since the changes/new Collections came into play.

After adding all the products I could (due to the 300 limit) I was expecting all items in the Collection to display in grouped categories - like they do in the behind the scenes Collection Management view. Or at least ungrouped, but in the same order - ie: invitations display first  >

I have "Custom - Grouped" set as the display preference for the filter option above the 'Recommended Products' boxes (although it never 'saves'), and for both the 'Zazzle Marketplace' and 'Your Stores' channels but when I click on the Collection in store/customer view it's just a random display of items.

I tried to set the channels to 'Recommended' display and left it for day or so, but it made no difference. I can't even drag the products into any sort of order, like we could with the old Collections, because option is no longer there. 

Am I doing something wrong? There's no point having a Collection is products are randomly displayed. It looks terrible for the amount of time I put into it. What settings can I change?

Since yesterday, the products in my collections have been arranging themselves however they see fit, NOT the way I've meticulously curated them. I've tried changing them back but they don't stick. This is happening to both the collections that have the newer slots (birthdays, christmas, etc.) as well as ones that are all in "bonus" (bat mitzvahs, graduations, etc.) Is this expected behavior now? Help!
