When all of this collection thing changed -- I was in the middle of splitting my shop into two shops -- one home goods and one paper products. I have a Groundhog Collection that I wanted to add products to. The collection shows up in my Ohh Paper shop as active. It shows it assigned to the Nancy Worrell designs shop on the Collection page -- but the Collection is NOT showing in that shop. When I go to the "the stores" tab it is checked for the Ohh Paper shop. When I try to add a new design the Groundhog Collection is grayed out -- both in the "for sale" page and going to the product page to add to the Collection. I ended up making another Groundhog Collection in the Ohh Paper shop -- but this is NOT want I want! Basically I can't use my original collection and I have 2 designs in the new collection and can't move the original designs from the old collection to the new collection. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! Does anyone know how to get the new products into the original collection?

@Nancy7 I bet the collection you are trying to add is a cross sell type? Cross sells only accept products from the store that it's been created for and that's by design I think.
You could try and change your collection to different type i.e different /similar or gift - then try again. I'm not sure whether it will throw out your newly added products if you change it back to a cross sell type but it's worth a go

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried several different types. Nothing worked. I did find a workaround to get the products into the collection but they don't show up as products in either of my stores! So that's not going to work! Guess I'll wait and see what HELP tech comes up with. I think they just need to fix the store in the database since I can't choose it. ! I have wasted HOURS and HOURs on trying to make this work.

When you say the products aren't showing in your stores, do you mean the customer view or the backend? Because products that have been created since about the 17th aren't showing up on the customer-facing side of the stores yet because of a separate issue.

Today is better. Now the products are showing up in the correct collection and both stores in both my view and customer view. The Groundhog collection is supposed to be only in my Ohh Paper store, That collection got caught in the wrong store when they changed how collections work because I was in the middle of moving paper collections to a new store. Anyway I guess I'll have to leave it in both stores because the products do NOT show up under "products" in the Ohh Paper store in either view. And it is a crazy workaround getting new products in the original collection. Just really frustrating. Since the products are in the same collection in both stores, Tech must be doing something?

Hey @Nancy7,
I've updated the Groundhog collection now so that it only shows in your Ohh Paper store as you have mentioned above it was showing in both of your stores. This should be fixed now!

i am finding that if you are trying to use the 'add to collection' button either on the product page or in the store backend, a newly created collection won't show up as an option for sometimes up to 12 hours after you create the collection.
However, if you go into the collections tab and open the collection page, you can click on each recommended product and it will pull available products that meet the criteria from your store products and you can select one and add it manually

Update: While my collections are showing up in my Ohh Paper store now somehow -- the products are not in the Ohh Paper store. The products are floating around in the Nancy Worrell design store but not attached to a collection in the Nancy Worrell design store. So the product "category" function in Ohh Paper does not work for customers. And I can't create products in the Ohh Paper store and put them in the Ohh Paper collections even though the collection is showing up in the Ohh Paper store. Seems to me that this is a big technical glitch that needs to be fixed by Zazzle. It also seems to me that if products are floating around in one store and the same products are in a collection in another store -- eventually all these misplaced products are going to collide and crash the whole site -- just saying.

UPDATE UPDATE -- Here is the most recent information I received from James H. Creator Communications Manage.
"So, I can firstly confirm that there is no way for us to move a Product or a Collection from one store to another. The functionality just doesn’t exist. However we have sent feedback on this to see other options we might be able to introduce in the future."
They're really not too concerned about fixing the problem. What I have done is set up a new collection in my Nancy Worrell designs store as a sampling of my Ohh! Paper store showcasing the products that are in limbo.
https://www.zazzle.com/collections/119745270212566213
The interesting thing about this is Zazzle is editing my description in real time. Here is what I put for the description;
Ohh! Paper -- https://www.zazzle.com/store/ohh_paper/collection Here is a sampling of products available in Ohh! Paper. Please check out my Ohh! Paper store where you will find scrapbook papers, cards, posters, prints, journals, stickers, puzzles, and so much more . . NOTE: Items in this collection are paper products that failed to transfer to the new store when they changed the collection format.
Take a look at what shows up as the description of the collection.
This was way easier than spending another six months (that's at least how long I've wasted trying to get this fixed) recreating all those products in limbo. I just hope all these products floating around in limbo in their database doesn't cause the whole site to crash!

@Nancy7 you need to put a 's' on the end of your link in your description else it goes to a 404 not found
