Hi,
I have some artwork (original psd file size of art work was 11 inch x 8.5 inch at 300 dpi) I converted to vector (live trace) in AI. I think created a new poster template in AI that is 60 in x 46.36 in and 300 dpi and then copied my vector artwork onto said poster file template. I have saved those files as AI file format and PDF and even SVG. My end result/intention is artwork that will work on a significantly large poster format (thinking max 60 inch) and any size bellow that that customer might want to buy. But after I upload the files to zazzle I’m getting warning messages when I try to create the posters. Stating my image is too small for my chosen size 60 x 40. When I let it paste the image anyway it looks like a little postcard size. I’ve got into my uploaded images and it seems that zazzle insists my vector image (and it acknowledges it’s a vector image) is on,y an inch wide. I can’t figure out how to get zazzle to recognize the image size of my file as set on my computer?
It’s been a while since I worked on new files for my Zazzle store. Before I worked exclusively.y in psd files and converted to jpeg or png. So I’m not used to using AI and Vector files on zazzle.
thanks

If you file is truly a vector file, it's size is irrelevant... Is there something, some element (something from your trace files maybe?), left on your Illustrator file that is still pixel based? It is possible to paste pixel based images into Illustrator files without converting them.

There shouldn’t be… I don’t think….my process was, drawing on iPad in psd file at 8.5 x 11 at 300 dpi. Converted that to png and sent it to my desk top computer via email. Download that png file and opened it in Adobe illustrator and performed live trace, once I had done that I dragged that file over to my ai poster template set to 46.36 inch by 60 inch at 300 dpi and scaled my now vector art work up to fit the poster template. Then I saved that poster as both ai files and pdf files. Both types are not uploading at the correct file size and scale.

They don’t appear to be uploaded as vector at all… a vector image is made of math… it has no resolution. I can size all of mine infinitely without encountering any warnings. All I can think of is that there must be a stray pixel or something that’s impossible to notice that hasn’t been converted..

How would I identify that pixel if that’s the problem? There’s only one layer to my original file. And that’s the layer I created the live trace from. It’s a,so happening to three different files all created the same way and all the same size.

Try a select all and see what you've got there... See if there's anything outlying. With a live trace it might be difficult though. They tend to have a lot of points.. I'm a little confused as to some of your steps.. You should be able to just do the trace and save the file. There's no need to pull it over to any other templates or resize it.
Have you applied any effects that are raster based? (the "Photoshop" effects)
