If a seamless pattern is made and then put on tiles, with the print edges etc, how well will these designs be seamless?

Quite well indeed. I do this routinely for all patterns. Here is a tablecloth done with a seamless tile that is tiled in the design tool. As you can see, it is perfectly aligned. In fact, for very large products like tablecloths, it would be hard to make them if we couldn't tile seamlessly.

I also do this often and have even ordered some things with tiled patterns, so can confirm they print fine. My SO has one of these and it is perfectly aligned. Feel free to look at how it is put together, editing isn’t locked.

Thanks, I mean for an actual ceramic tile though. If printing edge to edge will it still look good/seamless on a wall.

Ah, I see. Ceramic tiles generally aren’t installed without at least a thin grout line… so the aren’t exactly ever entirely seamless. The reasons being that tiles cannot be guaranteed to be exactly the same size and they stand a greater chance of chipping or popping up with no grouting.

would be interesting to know... I have a feeling it would be best not to focus on that result.. even creating a tiny colored/Neutral border might work in case the exact edging pattern does not quite eventuate. Maybe we could look up a popular tile that is seamless, and see what the reviews are?
