Dear Creators,

We’ve been thrilled to witness the incredible media you’ve been adding to your product pages and collections in recent weeks. As a result, we’ve been working diligently to provide new ways to showcase them on our platform and give them recognition with the goal of increasing your earnings.

To ensure everyone fully understands how channel functionality works in conjunction with Collection Media Manager for Cross-Sell Collections, we’d like to clarify a few points.

We’ve also created a video to help show how this works in a live demo:

When your Collection Cover Photo showcases a single product, it can lead confusion to customers on the product page and within search. The Collection Cover Photo will show up on the side thumbnails. Note, there may be instances where the Collection Cover Photo will show after Zazzle RealView videos i.e. t shirts.

To prevent such overlap, we recommend refraining from using single product images for your collection media. Instead, we encourage you to make use of the Zazzle Generated Realviews feature or create your own media showcasing a variety of different products that are within the collection. Note, if you are using RealViews, images enabled may not show on the product pages as we are currently AB testing this at the moment. We are looking to expand to all users soon.

Collections in Search

When it comes to how your cross-sell collections are displayed in search, there are a few different options at your disposal focused on increasing their visibility and more sales.

In the “Search Pages” section, within the Marketplace Channel, we allow you to optionally select up to 10 products for which you would like to use the primary collection cover image instead of the default product image in search. This can be really helpful in communicating to customers that this is not a standalone product but rather a collection of products that all compliment each other.

For example, your Collection Image could show up in search results like this instead of the product image:

That said, we suggest enabling this feature for products that are visible in your collection image otherwise this could lead to confusion on the customers side. Additionally, we do not recommend enabling this feature for “different design themes” or “style variations” for the same slot as this could also lead to confusion as customers would see the same image for both products.

In this example above, we suggest selecting the products that are showcased in the Collection Image only. The Collection Image will replace the regular product image in search.

We hope this clarification helps you optimize your media placement for the best possible customer experience.
