Adobe Illustrator Mockups? Anyone using this in 2025?

Hello!

I am curious if anyone has used the mockup functionality of Adobe Illustrator (2025). I tried to look a bit through older posts, but I haven't seen anything recent. I am curious about their library of mockups and how easy they are to use. I am currently a subscriber to the Photography Plan, and I'm considering subscribing to All Apps right now while I can purchase it for half off.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Amanda

I have Illustrator but I don't use their mockup feature. The library has 16 mockups, most of which are not products sold on Zazzle. And it only applies Adobe Illustrator images, not imported PNGs (although it might work with imported SVGs. I didn't try that.)

Absolutely do NOT get it for the mockup feature.

That said, DO get it for what it excels at: vector graphics. While it is awful and worthless for mockups, it is top notch for vector graphics. Its mesh gradient tools are not seen anywhere else. It can make pattern tiles with ease. And now it has AI. Yes, you can generate editable vector graphics in it.

Another point highly in its favor is that Adobe Illustrator files can be uploaded to Zazzle as is, no need to convert to PNG. And they are scalable. To be fair, you can do that with any SVG on Zazzle.

In sum, don't get it for its mockup feature (and don't bother using its mockup feature). Get it for everything else it can do.

Agree. It’s well worth the $20 monthly fee.
