With BlueSky reaching 1 million users in September, I feel like it might be worth further exploration. The platform has a waiting list, unless you've received an invitation from another member. An artist on another POD platform says she's been a member for a few weeks and is getting some positive interaction.
I've continued to foster my X/Twitter account to promote Zazzle products, with 7.3K followers and growing, but I feel like it's way overtime to try out another microblogging platform. Most of my regular rePosters/reTweeters have stuck it out there as well, which is one reason I've stayed, but I've noticed a decided drop-off in the last few weeks. My pinned posts are taking much longer to builid Likes and Reposts, and the overall volume is lower.
Meanwhile, I've signed up for the BlueSky waiting list, and if I'm able to set up an account, I'll report back on early findings. Here's an FAQ on the platform, which I understand is backed by ex-Twitter's Jack Dorsey:

I use Pinterest heavily and sometimes use Instagram, but I get too many weird and assertive followers on Insta. I'm also considering Threads, but I'm not so sure about Mastadon because of its complexity. If anyone is finding another microblogging platform to be helpful, I'd love to hear more. Thanks in advance!

Apparently, members are given invite codes to invite someone once a week, you could ask her for an invite code? I'm interested so will be asking around.

Your understanding about the codes is correct. She has offered to share her codes, but there were already 6 people ahead of me when I saw her message (just now getting active in that community again). The invite codes are given out at intervals -- weeky, I think -- but at least I'm in line.
So, I'll join by whichever way rolls around first - the BS wait list or the shared invite code. If I am allowed to distribute codes once I'm a member, I'll be glad to share per their TOU. Will also share my thoughts on the initial experience.

Bluesky update: Bluesky now has over 10 million users and no longer requires an invitation for you to join. You just need to sign up. I've created a list of Zazzlers on Bluesky.
Something that is really great about Bluesky is that you can self-verify your account if you have your own website/domain and you can use it as your user handle, as I have done. It is also part of the fediverse and you can connect it with Mastadon so that users on that platform can read your posts from Bluesky and vice versa, so you can increase your audience size.
