Digital Download Referrals

Does anyone know if we can get referrals from digital downloads?

Yes! But the referral is limited to 15% even if you're in the promoter program, because if they gave you the 35% promoter referral the total of the referral and royalty would be more than the customer paid. Here's an example (copied from royalty & referral history reports)

I've only ever gotten them on my own products. I assume you can get download referrals when you promote other people's products too, but I don't know for sure.

Hi @Cat ,I’m really interested in learning more about how you promote your work and gain referrals. Do you have any particular platforms or strategies where you share your links that work well for reaching the right audience? Any advice on where these links seem to get the most traction??

Because i am sharing my products and others as well for almost ayear ,i never gain a single referral.are you sharing them on website or pinterest,also how many referal links do you share a day.I will be very thankful if you will help me in this.

The only place I actively promote is on Pinterest. I think that sharing a good cover image helps with referrals, but I have no secret formula, I just share everything as soon as a make it. In the case of older products that were created before covers were a thing, I'll share those cover images as I make them. 

I do have a website with a long history and established audience - it pre-dates my Zazzle store. (www.zingerbug.com) I have some links to my Zazzle store on the website, but I don't promote individual products there - well, I tried to do some promoting there years ago but quickly got overwhelmed, so there are still some links there but honestly, it's a total mess. One of my goals for the next year is to sort that out and see if I can do a better job getting some referrals from my website.

Hi! I noticed you are from Pakistan. As a non-American myself, I can say that it is extremely important to be registered on Pinterest that you live in the United States. When I was registered with my home country +60% of impressions were from my country and only 20% from the USA. I didn't get a single sale through Pinterest. After I changed it, I now have about 70% visitors from the US and quite a few sales. It takes some time after you make a change for the results to appear. Please note that these are only my experiences. I do not know if this applies to people living in the UK, Canada, Australia or if they are in the same market.

Also if you could tell me the number of pins you post on pinterest in a day..
