Do you follow back your followers?

I'm wondering how other Zazzle sellers manage their followings. Do you follow those who follow your shop back? Is there an advantage to following others back, presumably potential customers? Do you follow other shops also, or just people?

My shop has followers but I've never followed anyone back. I'm not trying to be rude or anti social, it's nothing like that. It's more that I just don't understand how following on Zazzle works. Does it build community? Increase brand awareness? Encourage engagement? Impact conversion? Or is it just more like just a social courtesy?

Curious as to your thoughts/experiences. Thanks! xx

I don't follow back my followers. I follow only specific shops that I love their designs, or the shops of people I know. I doubt it makes an impact on conversion or engagement. I think most customers follow the shops that they really like, hopefully for future purchases, and don't care if you follow them back.

That's pretty much what I suspected as well. They probably don't care about engagement. I presume customers on Zazzle are here to shop for the products they want, not because they're seeking connection. Thank you Connie! xx

That’s basically my process, too.
