@James
Hi James, Will our existing clocks be migrated to the new wood frame clocks, or do we have to create the wood frame clocks ourselves instead?

I really love the framed style! I like it much better than the ones without. Hope we can get these for the square shapes too.

Oh oh! I was making clocks with just wood frames as the option but when I added the word 'wood' to the title of my clock design to differentiate them from the unframed style, a window pops up saying "no actual wood will be used in the making of this product" - but there is... in the frame! I can omit the word wood but I'd like it to be there so people don't think it's a plastic frame.

please add the new wooden clocks to the "round styles only" merchandising option.
at the moment, only the acrylic round clocks are pulling up as choices.
thank you!

Yes, please add the wood clocks to the round "this style only" ones. I have some round clocks that would not work in the square style.

I totally agree. I've been switching a number of my clocks to the wooden ones, but every time I try with a "round only" clock, I can't switch to the wooden one, which is naturally round only. I have to first change the designation to all shapes, then switch to the wooden one. This would be fine as long as a customer doesn't decide to go frameless and then run into trouble by choosing the square shape.

Also just noticed the hands on the framed clocks are different from the unframed ones - and they're longer, so I had to adjust some designs to compensate.

This is absolutely wonderful! Thank you for adding these great looking frames, and making them an option within the existing clocks offering (rather than a separate product). I also love the new (?) clock mockups, which I have only just seen!
Now there is just one thing I would still dearly love to see in the clock offering, and that is LARGER CLOCKS!!!
Large decorative clocks are a trend in home interiors, and while the existing clocks are wonderful for small places - kitchen nooks, bedrooms, offices - larger clocks make a statement. There are so many designs in this marketplace that would be sooo wonderful on big decorative living room or kitchen clocks!

Oh WOW, that's a truly awesome surprise! Love these clocks, not only due to the frames but the hands are also way more subtle and elegant, and I absolutely love that there is also a hand for the seconds - IMO, this one is essential to make a wall clock complete and "living" (as long as it doesn't keep the neighborhood awake).
Checked the design part and I'm pleased that it has been well implemented so the same design looks perfect on both the classic acryl and the new framed ones. Well done!
It's also surprising to see that they are less expensive than the acryl ones (I know well it's due to the less costly materials used but for the eye, online and afar, the framed clock looks more "valuable" - the hands make also a huge difference). They're also less costly than on the other POD I offer them, this with a higher royalty rate. Which is great, cuz I would love to fully concentrate on Zazzle due to the extreme freedom of designing and customization. Overall, greatly done! 10 out of 10!

Yesterday, I spent quite a bit of time switching a fair number of clocks to the new framed variety, but it appears the indexer for such things is slow. I want to put the newer versions on Pinterest but don't dare. I can't remember, is the indexer always slow about noting our edits?

It's a hit-or-miss. Happens also to custom mockups. There are times they are swapped quickly, and there are times you need to wait hours or even a day to get them on all product views. Collections tend to actualize more quicker. That's why I've started creating also collections on product basis - new products are instantly visible, they're updated quicker, and what I also like is to be able to add a banner and description, plus the ability to sort them (besides being easier to promote).

I wouldn't dare promote them on Pinterest until the new version shows up on the product page because I fear anyone clicking out of Pinterest won't see the new version.

This is really a nice thing. Last month I was creating a wall clock and noticed that the hands were hiding the design. And I thought that they should have different models to choose from (as it's shown below). So I really like the new option. Thank you!

Absolutely, those slender hands are truly attractive, so much so that I've switched clock type a number of times simply because of those hands. Also, white hands! I've wished for them since the beginning of time...so to speak.

I'm almost 100% sure, the acrylic clocks are of much greater value in terms of materials and haptic, but yes, the first look speaks definitely for the new ones, and the hands play a major role. I would love to see these hands on the acrylic variant, and the previews may be optimized a tad to make the acrylic ones shine a little bit. I personally would most certainly opt for the acrylic variant if it had better hands. I have a frameless glass clock as well as such framed variants, and the glass one is way more "classy", especially if you look at it at closer distance. The framed one will most certainly feel more like plastic.

The preference probably depends on the person's home decor. Modern might call for frameless, traditional with a frame, conventional with either. Frameless would probably look perfectly awful in a French chateau. Then again, anything less than polished oak or similar would look awful.
All kinds of people, all kinds of preferences, and now we can cater to those preferences.

I admit, I am a glass freak, combined with black and white and clear, sharp lines. But I also love cozy chalets with a lovely open fire in a snowy night 🙂 You're right, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I wouldn't hang a plastic clock on a French chateau's wall, tho 😄

Thank you for your comments and suggestions, everyone. Will request the filter additions now and will see what we can do about the messaging when the word wood is added to the description.
Also, great suggestions to have even larger clocks on offer 😁
