Is it possible to hide the number of followers for our stores?

I thought only we could see the number of our own followers. I've never seen it in other people's stores.

I’m just curious: why do you want to hide the number of your followers?

Because some stores have hundreds or even thousands of followers and some stores only have a handful and that can make a shop owner feel poorly about their shop performance if they're worried about customers comparing the followers between shops. I personally don't think customers spend a ton of time on our shops. I think customers spend more time on individual designs more than anything, but I can understand it being a source of discomfort.

That being said, a month or so ago, the ability to see other shops follower count doesn't seem to be a thing anymore. I used to be able to see it, but now I can only see my own. I don't know if its changed on mobile tho. But in web view its not an option anymore.

I've been around since 2009 and have a very pathetic following of 100 (mostly fellow Zazzlers, I believe), but make good sales. It's how people judge you now, unfortunately, so yeah - I don't want anyone seeing that, either!

I think it might affect a buyers choice... maybe I am wrong 🙂

Maybe four years ago, Zazzle spoke about having customers follow a store they liked, thinking it might be a good sales thing for the designers, but you're probably correct @Shakenbake  about customers shopping around, comparing designs for the products they're interested in. I believe they'd be unlikely in most cases to go to a specific store consistently. It's probably what Zazzle has noticed too.

Opposed to the above, they recently began again to send out notices when a store we followed added new products. I dealt with just so much of it and then went in and deleted almost all the "follows" I'd done because I'm already overloaded with email. Besides, it's mostly designers following one another, which has nothing to do with sales.

Zazzle seems a bit undecided on the subject of followers.

As @Barbara stated earlier. Customers can not see # of followers. It is only viewable in your account views. So you don't want to know how many followers you do/don't have?

I personally ignore the number ... mostly.

Yes, I've just realised that the number of followers is not displayed anymore... but it could be seen before
