How to detect Bots

Hi

I have noticed an exponential amount of views in all of my stores over the last week.  A lot of them are items that are rarely viewed.  Unfortunately I have had virtually no sales for the week which is unusual.  I usually average between 2-4 sales per day.

I am concerned that my ranking will drop in one of the stores because of the lack of sales to views.  Is there a way to determine if a bot is causing this.  I have reported 2 spam conversations in the last couple of weeks as well.

Thank you for any thoughts

If you have google analytics you can see where your views are coming from & how long they're resting on each product. If you have a ton from another country &/or you see each view is under .20 sec you can be pretty sure they are a bot(s).

I've been getting a ton of them as well, like around 35 pages a day. Normal would be around half that at the most. And sales are not matching up.

I noticed the same thing over the last two weeks-my views have tripled, but my sales have dropped. I can't figure out how that makes sense.

I was going to post the same question.  How do we know if the views are from bots or real people?  Is there a way?

I was kinda hoping that all of the views were from Zazzle's new marketing push... you know, the stuff they are theoretically doing with all of the money they're getting from the new fees. Perhaps I was being overly optimistic? It does seem like my sales have ticked up a tiny bit in the past few weeks, but certainly not at the same level as the views.

Edit: and as anticipated, my rank dropped from 9 to 8 in the store that I was mainly concerned about 😑

Yes, it's super weird. Way more views than normal and probably 1/4 of the sales for the last 2 months? And both were pretty sudden.
