Need Help Adding Items to Store

I'm not a new user on Zazzle. I had a store in the past, and I made a little bit of money. I took the store down a while ago.  I haven't used Zazzle in a few years and decided to start a new store. I have that part set up. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to add products to the store. Every time I click a link to add a product, after I design it, all I see is a button to add the item to my cart. I've literally spent hours trying to figure this out. Can someone please explain how to do this step-by-step? I would be grateful. Another thing I can't find is a list of image resolutions for different products.

Ahhh. Cards. For many cards, in order to get the Sell It button, you have to select the option to include an envelope as the default choice, And/or if there's an attribution option (the current form is the word Zazzle followed by a QR code) you have to leave that checked to show to get the Sell It button. (After you've published it, you can go back in and check the option to not have it show. )

did you add any icons from the Icons tab in the design tool? those are only for customer use. use of them in your design will limit your design to Add to Cart only. just delete the icon and the Post for Sale button should be available.

Please add brief message to Icons tab 'For Custome... - Zazzle

Hi @Individium-Art,

If the design is saved to your saved designs we can take a look and see what might be causing this. Can you please let me know which design it is?

It doesn't matter which design it is. Nothing has a link to sell on my store. I tried a T-shirt design just to see what would happen. That didn't work either. Right now, there's only one saved design. I had three, but I just deleted the other two.

Hi @Individium-Art,

Not sure what caused this issue but I looked at both cards in your saved designs and the sell it button appears for both. I can also see you successfully posted some for sale on 05/17 and 05/18.

Let us know if you need more help.

No, I didn’t. I wouldn’t know how. I’m looking for instructions on how to add items to the store.

I believe we have to use this link to create new products
Custom Gifts - Create Your Own Custom Gifts | Zazzle

Anything else may trigger a limitation on the Post for Sale button.

W.H.

I already tried that. After I created the product, it only had a button to add it to a cart. There was no place to list it for sale.

Hmm, you may have to post your problem in Technical Issues. Sounds like a glitch.
I'm fresh out of ideas, and I know this is not an uncommon occurrence.

Create your design as you normally have in the past.

However, if you've added either Icons or Most Popular Backgrounds or both will grey out the Post for Sale button once you've exited from the Zazzle design tool. Both are relatively new additions to the Zazzle design tool.

The Icons are located third from the top in the Icons tab. Adding one or more of them to your design area will force the Post for Sale button to grey out upon your exit from the Zazzle design tool.

Don't Add Icons to Your Design.jpg

The Most Popular Backgrounds (supplied/created by a vetted group of Zazzle designers) are located fourth from the top in the Bkground tab. Adding one or more of them to your design area will force the Post for Sale button to grey out upon your exit from the Zazzle design tool.

Don't Add Backgrounds to Your Design.jpg

Delete icons and most popular backgrounds from your design to restore the Post for Sale button. Even if you've hidden them, they will grey out the Post for Sale button.

Actually, I don't recall there being a list per se for image resolutions for products.
I just use one [maximum] size (around 5400x5400 @ 300dpi) across the majority of my designs.

There used to be. 5400 x 5400 at 300 dpi is massive overkill for a 5x7 greeting card.

Must've been before my time. 😁

True (but I do design on tapestries, throw blankets, banners, and house flags), and the prospect of uploading multiple size image variants makes my head ache. 😉

I’ll check this tomorrow but I have a feeling this is the solution. Thanks.

Why don't you go to the technical forum and ask this question again. A moderator should be in by morning and they can see what is happening.

If you're trying the same design over and over try another design and see if anything is different. You can just add a background color and try to publish it and see what happens.
