Quality control issues with printing...

Hello. I just opened my store a few months ago, so I am very new. A few friends of mine made some purchases - so far those are my only sales 😊  Since it was a friend of mine, I was able to see the actual products. I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the printing 😕  She ordered a Tote Bag and the art work printed was dull and faded. She also ordered a Coffee Mug and the printing was over saturated... the pieces they ordered on paper (Note Cards, Greeting Cards) looked great! I am wondering how you all handle quality control with the printing. Luckily, I knew the people who made my first orders - but if those items would have gone out to people I did not know, I think they would be disappointed with the products they ordered... and I do not want my name to be on products that are bad quality. I am considering deleting those products (Tote Bag, Coffee Mug) that the printing was not good... but I do not know what the quality of a bunch of other products is going to be. I was also going to order one of each product - but that gets really expensive. I know it is NOT the quality of my original art I uploaded - I have 40+ years as a graphic designer, so I know how to create clean, sharp, print ready, high resolution art. How have you all handled this situation ?? Thanks for your input !!

I have seen plenty of tote bags and coffee mugs printed by Zazzle over the years, and recently over the Christmas holidays, and the quality of the printing on both products has been excellent. No dull printing on tote bags and no over saturated printing on mugs.

Hello. That is good to hear - maybe  I just got a bad batch?

Hello and welcome to Zazzle! I took a look at your store and products - they are lovely. It may be that the style of these designs is too muted and do not have enough contrast to print clearly on products that aren't paper products. Perhaps a Zazzle moderator can have a look and respond to that. They are not available on weekends, though and are back on Mondays - but this coming Monday is MLK Holiday.

Hello. Thank you - I hope to hear from them on Tuesday 😊

Maybe you got a bad batch? I sure the quality hasn't gone downhill. I bought a full-color, allover print tote bag about 5 years ago, and the print quality was excellent. In fact, it's still as vibrant as when I bought it, even though it's been to the beach several times, and across the country at least three times!

I was hoping to hear from someone at Zazzle - is that you as a Moderator? I sent an email to support@zazzle.com, but have not heard back. I would want them to let me know why the Tote Bag was so faded, and if they can send a new one. My friend would not fill out a complaint form, but it is a problem for me - and a concern with future orders.
