Replace Product Rules

Does anyone know what the actual rules are for 'replace product'? I have used it in the past to correct  text placements etc..  or to lock down images but not to revamp  the design - I have some  products that sold well  but not for a long time due to the  design  IMHO need revamped some - how much can I change the design and just 'replace product' so as to not lose my MP placement?     Can Zazzle chime in and let us know what the rules are please?   thank you!

I've only done this once, TODAY... I did it because I realised I had not templated an item that was not selling but had many views, and I didnt realise it was not templated. I wonder if it's only about editing text wise...

Unless this changes in the future, here are some of the things you can and can not do, at this time.

Zazzle looks over all the products, before they approve or deny the changes. You wouldn't be able to change alot and it look like a new product, Zazzle will not approve those kind of changes.

You can not add text and make it a customizable text template (make it a template object)

You can not make the text, you already have on the product customizable (make it a template object)

You can change a "placeholder image, that the customer is forced to replace, but not an actual design. You can not redo a design or make it look different.

You can change the year, change the size of text and an image, straighten images and text, fix text typos and change a color.

It's small changes like that, that Zazzle will probably approve, but it's not a guarantee, that Zazzle will approve all changes.

If a customer is in the process of buying your product, Zazzle will not approve any changes, but you can make the changes later and submit for approval again.

There is an issue at this time and any products you use the "replace product" on, will not delete from the saved designs. It doesn't matter how many times you try to delete the saved designs, they will not delete. I assume Zazzle is still working on a solution.
