Royalty rates and changing them in bulk

I have over 25,000 products at various royalty rates depending on my time spent on creating my items and if it contains my original hand created artwork or just text etc. My issue now with having to review my rates to keep my stores competitive is if I want to adjust for example items currently at 10.9% down to 10%. And on the other side 14.9% I want to blanket all these up to 15.6% or more so I still get a fair price for my original artwork. This currently requires me to go individually or page by page depending on the rates and change products with the same rate on that page only. No way to select all products at 10.9% or 10.5% for example, and just them all down to 10% to avoid the new charge. This is super slow process and very time consuming! Considering overall I am going to see less money for my time and efforts, is there any chance or way we could have the ability to select all items only at 10.9% and change them in bulk! To be honest with you this is right pain currently to do and I am questioning if even worth the time and just losing out? It seems a thing for us sellers who have been loyally here for a very long time with a lot inventory to be playing impossible the catch up game task... How is everyone else with a mixture of royalty rates and large amounts of products doing this? Any help to speed up this process would be most welcomed as the deadline for changing is so short too it is really impossible and my time really needs to to focused on other things such as new artwork and the wedding season, to stand any chance of making ends met this year as with these changes we are going to have to sell even more products now just to earn the same.

@mylittleeden  . I'm not one big shop holder so don't understand the trials and tribulations of holding such a mega inventory.

You can set a store wide royalty via https://www.zazzle.com/my/account/defaultroyalty  where you can add a default for all stores and all products (select tickbox and update to save)

That doesn't take into account those products where you want a different amount.

All I can suggest is to set it at account level so everything is the same royalty - then go to the department level of the products you want to change to a higher amount in the back end

Drill down into the exact product type, show 204 - then select Bulk Actions - Select all non discontinued  then press Actions - edit details and edit your royalties.

Submit to save.

You will probably have to do it page by page as it has issues keeping the products selected I've found.

It would be glorious if in the future, an easier option is available to bulk change royalties per product, but we only have what we have.

Good luck!

Yes thanks I found that, but I can't do it all as I have artwork that took months to paint and is very detailed I am not just going to give it away, plus I have that artwork on a few different places too at the higher rate. I figured only the whole store bulk option, it is pain as that just doesn't work for my situation.

I have so many items as I have been doing Zazzle every day for over 12 years now!

It is always these big shifts that make my life a misery!

Yes I am still on a poor time to money ratio... 😪 I doubt these changes are going to improve that for me.
It is a good job I love designing and creating so much. 😀

I did hope it would be more passive when I started and would eventually pay off... but the hoops keep needing to be jumped.

I am just going to have to change them over a slower time and take the hit as normal. I pray Zazzle can create some help with this moving forward though.

Been a long rollercoaster of a ride... looking forward to a bit of straight one day? In the meantime I still have 20,000 cover photos and 100's of collection photos, as well as posting more products to do 😩.

I can see why so many of my friends have left the platform recently to do other things... but I am stubborn old goat now that refuses to give up even when the task is pretty much impossible now to keep up with!

As I tell my daughter you can only do your best and if it still isn't good enough well so be it. At least you can say you tried!
Thanks for your replies, I am going to do it as another slow mo job and display the max per page, to display as many items and click on those with the same percentage to bulk them. But I have no doubt I will still be doing that in years to come. I found a old 15% one the other day from the last time this happened!
Onwards and upwards I wish you all the best with this Zazzle rollercoaster ride x

My littleeden , I understand your anguish , as I have been here as long as yourself but not as dedicated to Zazzle as you have been !  Sara -H is No1 at solving problems ! Is it worth looking at your Orders All time Re Products then Select a bulk Royalty for them?

great tip, thank you!

This is what I have been doing for the last two weeks.

I don't even succeed in changing the royalty rate for one product, let alone bulk. The calculator is all over the place and when I finally set a new royalty rate, it does not stick. So I do understand your frustration, @mylittleeden

I changed 30 pages worth last night & this am, only about 1/3 of them stuck. But when I redid the ones that didn't stick, I did see they were slated for change & I probably didn't have to redo them (altho I did). I think you just need to give it some time.

Wow! 25,000 products.  I have about 3,500 products and still find it quite exhausting to deal with the royalty change.  However, like Sara suggested, I selected all products and gave them all the same royalty rate. Later, I will adjust the rates for product that I think should have a lower or different rate. Of course, even with only 3,500 products it will take some time. I have to say, I'm quite discouraged with Zazzle.  So much work for very little pay.

I feel your pain I have almost 27, 000 products with multiple royalty rates... this is a pain.

Zazzle ought to include a reminder of where that Royalty Default in their update news about Royalty changes, since i see in the Forum so many are trying to do it product by product.

I have thousands of designs at various rates.  I just could not face doing many of those thousands of items piecemeal.  I just gave in and chose the flat 10 % rate for all of them.    Even that took a large amount of time!  My time is more valuable than what I was even making at the higher percentages.    Maybe later I will change  here and there or as I make new designs.  But if some of that higher percentage will be taken away for being above the 10%, then some would not be worth it?

I have a huge number of items and am making changes department by department, store by store doing the most popular and / or newest categories first.  I set the sort to most sold and change rates in bulk for at least the ones that have sold. If you’re like me you probably have many items in some huge categories that have never sold that may be older; ignore them for now and maybe circle back later or as they happen to sell even at the old rate. I still have a very long way to go 🙄

The good news is I’m already getting sales at the new higher rate settings.
