Strange drop in sales

Hey everyone, I’ve been experiencing a slump with no sales for the past month, I was consistently getting sales almost every day for the past few months, but suddenly, it’s come to a complete stop. Is anyone else facing a similar issue? I’m trying to figure out if this is just a market slowdown or if something else might be affecting sales.I'd appreciate any insights or tips .

My October sales were good. I sold binders, kitchen towels, pillows, tote bags, playing cards, and t-shirts.

Could the drop in sales be niche related? I mostly create home goods and accessories (I don’t create wedding invitations or wedding related products or baby shower and birthday invitations.)

It would be interesting to see what niches are being affected by a drop in sales.

It's been discussed in several threads, and the bottom line is that no one knows. Maybe even Zazzle doesn't know.

You're right, it’s been a hot topic in a lot of discussions, and it seems like there’s no clear answer. It’s frustrating when there’s no obvious reason for the dip in sales. 😞

I'm suddenly having a lot less views. Not sure if the view stats are being off (again) or maybe both that and the sales reports?

I’ve noticed the same thing with views recently! It could be an issue with the view stats being off , especially if it's happened before. It might also be affecting the sales reports.

October has been awful. I won't be paid in December, not unless I get a few healthy sales during the next week and a half.

You could be right. I'm very much small-niche oriented: music theory, business cards for the arts, hobbies such as sewing and baking, other stuff like that. Also, for the last year or so, I haven't made that many new products and have seriously fallen down with pinning on Pinterest. There's no resting on one's laurels here, but I've this ongoing stream of outside interests that seem to care nothing about gaining new laurels. I need to periodically glue myself to the computer chair.

I pin every product on Pinterest on the day I create new products so I won’t forget to post them.

I used to pin every time I created something new, but I was somewhat demoralized when Pinterest took away the easy part of putting in a decent description. It's mostly just Zazzle's generic words about the product, and sometimes not even about the product at all. This led to having to create my own pins, and that's when laziness set in. At this point, I need to revamp the whole thing. So I find other things to do. Sigh.

Creating manual pins is definitely more time consuming, and it allows folks to add a more detailed title and description, but adding tags seems to be limited by searching for Pinterest key words, and not allowing us to copy/paste our Zazzle keywords. Unless, I’m not doing that correctly.

You're right, I mainly focus on selling invitations, and that could be why my sales have slowed down. It might not be a trending category right now, which could explain the dip in demand. I think I may need to explore other product ideas or adjust to what's currently popular. Thank you so much for your thoughtful suggestion . I really appreciate your input and will definitely consider it.

It's exactly the same for me, was getting regular sales, then October, nothing, well maybe 4 or 5 sales total. But my views in google analytics have remained steady. So people are looking but not buying anymore.

I don't do invitations, but I also don't have Halloween stuff so am hoping it will pick up in November

My SO was reading a news article to me the other day about how election years negatively affect weddings and car sales… Personally I also don’t do a lot of invites or wedding stuff. My October has been pretty good so far.

I stated I wouldn't get a payout in December. I was wrong. Sometimes it's great being wrong.

In the meantime, it's odd that people don't want to have weddings every fourth year. Car sales, in the meantime, have been horrid for the past few years. The prices are four times what our first house cost us.
