Hello
I got this message from Zazzle after my form (W-8Ben ) was rejected by Zazzle "We are legally require to collect a Tax ID in Part I Section 6a. If you don't have one, you will need to provide us with a reason as to why your government has not provided you with a tax ID."
Is it important to provide this information if we do not have a Foreign tax identifying number?
What reason should I provide that I do not have one?
Many thanks

"Line 6a: Enter your Foreign Tax Identification Number (FTIN). For Indian residents, this is your PAN number, which can be used as your FTIN."

Obviously, I don't know where you live, I'm in the UK. The UK has a treaty with the USA that allows Zazzle to pay us without deducting USA tax providing we can prove we declare our Zazzle earnings for tax in the UK, this is done by providing a tax id. In my case this is my UTR, a unique tax reference number, that I need to file my UK Self Assessment tax return.
I hope this helps.
