We Need a Zazzle Equivalent to Etsy’s New Marketplace Tool

Etsy’s new Marketplace is a built-in analytics tool similar to Everbee and Amazon Merch Informer.
What’s different about this built-in tool is that the information comes directly from Etsy’s customer searches and sales. This provides accurate, timely information to designers. The other third-party apps provide similar information, but those results are best-guess results, as opposed to real results. So, you can see the advantage of having a built-in analytics tool on Zazzle.
A tool like this can help designers develop targeted designs and products that have a higher chance of selling, allowing designers to increase their sales. That, in turn, will result in more sales for Zazzle.
If this topic isn’t on Zazzle developers’ front burner it should be. It has much more potential than the current attempts to produce less-effective tools — like the new font tool — which hasn’t resulted in improved sales or even improved ease of use.

I'm sure a lot of top designers here DON'T want a Zazzle tool that will make it even easier to rip off their bestsellers. While the Etsy analytic tools are certainly useful, I really appreciate the fact that Zazzle DOESN'T have something similar, and keeps our sales data confidential.

I sure hope they're at least still working on it overall. The message above our Earnings Summary is gone now, plus it seems like every other project is more important than to even fix the Edit Function for cancellations that was broken in the process. It's very frustrating to say the least.

While built-in analytics might sound helpful, I worry that surfacing too much sales data especially if it’s tied to individual designers could actually narrow opportunity rather than expand it. If everyone is chasing the same “proven” trends, it risks reinforcing a winner-takes-most dynamic where only a few designs get visibility, while others (often just as creative) get buried. As a creator , I value tools that support originality and long-term growth not just short-term trend-chasing. I also believe creators should have control over what data is shared. My sales data is something I’d prefer to keep that private. I think its best to have tools that empower all not just the ones who already have strong sales data
