What Zazzle Has Meant to Me

Some years back, someone put a post similar to this one. There were some really heartfelt stories from single moms, handicapped Zazzlers and just plain people who realized a dream or part of dream thanks to their Zazzle work.

It was fun to read and was quite reinvigorating, so I thought I would start it up again.

If you have a story please post it. I'll go first.

I am afraid my story isn't very heartfelt and in that respect like many others here most likely. I got my first payment four months after I started. It was for $91.63 and I've gotten a payment every month since then. Some months it covered the electric bill. Other months it was good for the car payment. There have even been months where it covered the rent.

Zazzle has been a great part time job in which I don't have to give up my time in long stretches and I can do it from anywhere.

Look forward to hearing other stories.

I got into it to go right brain from my left brain job as a microbiologist. Although I've branched out quite a bit, I take special pride in my microbiology designs and like to imagine the labs they end up in when people buy them.

I started becoming aware of the POD thing back in 05-06 when I was working at a radio station. One of the things that we had to do at the station was print up a lot of stuff. Tees, business cards, banners, flyers, etc. So, I was looking for a better way to do that when I discovered POD. It ended up being more expensive than doing it locally, but I was intrigued by the concept. I had ideas. $?

Yadda, yadda, yadda. Here I still am. Zazzle has been a lot of fun for me and I have met some wonderful people being involved here. The platform has evolved right along with me and vice versa. It is a very important part of my life and has been a pretty good revenue stream.

I used to be a Health Centre Manager in the NHS and owned a Cartridge World Franchise before I gave up to be a full time mom and work 'freelance' from home. I've done many things since then freelance before 'Zazzling' peeked my interest and I've been a dedicated Zazzler ever since. I've made a few posts previously about how much Zazzle has meant to me and others like me (now with various health issues, limitations meaning can really only work from home) so won't elaborate more due to duplication but yes, Zazzle is my main source of income and hence concerns when it drops and things change due to fears re 'what to do next'. But so far still 'healthy' on Zazzle so, long may it continue!

I think you are doing VERY well, @pjwuebker . Way to go.

I opened my store in 2011 when I did a few weddings for people I knew. Kept store open to order gifts, things for me, and convention products-- from t-shirts to goodie bag favors. I ended that chapter last year after 20 years. Fast-forward to last year-- I decided this is what I want to do full-time. When I spent 3 winters in UK with a friend, I closed all 3 Etsy stores & that bothered me. So if I ever travel again, I can maintain my store while away. May 2022, I started building my store and my goal was to get Pro by the end of the year. I turn 70 this year and I'm wanting a certain word after Pro by my 80th birthday. 😁

It's so slow now, (for me) ugh, but I have faith that things will get better.

I don't touch weddings anymore 😂 so I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone who works hard and has the amazing wedding collections I look through, from country to royalty 😉, the best this year and always.

I'm betting you'll get that word long before you are 80. BTW, I am 66 and I am sure there are a great many people our age on Zazzle.
