Zazzle Product View With Updated Keywords

Zazzle Creators,              Saturday, March 18, 2023

Last month we were advised to update "Keywords" on our Zazzle products. We did just that. Haven't had any new results this month. No customer views and no sales. This is disappointing and frustrating. Pinning on Pinterest doesn't help either.

1. Are other Zazzle Creators having this same problem?

2. How do we refresh our products in our Zazzle stores so they will show back up in the Zazzle Search bar again?

3. What "Keywords" do you use when you've run out of "Keywords"?

4. Doesn't everyone use the same "Keywords" on their products?

Thanks for your kind responses to my questions.

This last 4 or 5 months all I've done is make keyword phrases instead of single or 2 word phrases, more descriptive such as 'expressive flowing colors' or 'original unique artwork' for example. I am trying hard to make the phrases different, even though they are mostly still desribing design of some sort. I definitely do not use the same keywords, if there are similarities, I bunch 2 different words together, such as black and white, gold and red, OR for the next one swap them round...black with red, gold and white. I have no clue what makes sales in my case, I mostly do non invite stuff, such as number plates, wrap, clocks, jewelry, pretty much everything with only a few invites. I think on the whole pple will still want what they want...and search. My offerenings are very varied, and the sales are the same. 🙂

The most impactful thing you can do right now is cover photos. Yes, keywords are important but if you've seen a sudden dropoff in views/sales, adding cover photos is your best remedy. I recommend prioritizing products that sold in the past but now seem invisible. Adding a cover photo to those can give them a boost.

Thanks for your responses in answering our questions. Some Zazzle products don't show up because we're trying to figure out what other "Keywords" to use in place of ones that have been used already. So, we decided to have the image hidden in our Zazzle store dashboard for now.

Thanks.

I just took a look at your store. Make sure your keywords describe your designs and are words that customers will be searching for. For example a photo of two dogs is described with the tag, “sister.” I guess the dogs shown are sisters, but “two dogs,” or “two dachshunds,” or “two dogs playing” would be easier for people to find. Also you use four photos on many products, That makes it very hard to see anything on your products on my iphone. Limit your designs to one photo per product. Even then, there are so many items in the background on your photos, that the dogs are no longer the focus—and your designs are still difficult to see in thumbnails. When you update tags, it takes a while for the changes to be indexed, sometimes weeks or a few months.

Just now saw your reply to our questions from last evenings post. Thank you for your advice. Don't have smartphones, tablets, or iPhones. Only using desktop computer for our Zazzle products.

Grateful.
