I think the option of adding the ruler has been suggested before but yeah, reiterating the request for a horizontal and vertical ruler (that you can toggle mm/cm/inch for your preference) in the design tool AND guidelines that we can drag in and move around as needed would be wonderful in setting up layouts the way we intend them to look.

The grid is cool, but not exactly the same in functionality as guidelines and actual rule lines.

As long as there's an option to turn it off so I can keep the full design space we already have.

@chefcateringbiz

as with design tools like photoshop, illustrator etc a ruler would not be ON the design artboard, it would be outside of the artboard, along the top horizontal edge and left vertical edge. Toggling on and off should be an option, but not for that reason. It wouldn't take up artboard real estate.

Photoshop rulers automatically adjust to the size of the canvas, but I wonder if Zazzle could do this with our design tool.

@BarbaraI don't see why that wouldn't be exactly what it does. Just a ruler at the top length and side length of whatever canvas you are working with so you can see exactly where in your design you are placing text and objects and just how big it actually is on your design for when it prints. It helps with cohesiveness (especially if you offer your designs in more places than Zazzle) and just making sure things look how you intend them to look! ❤️

@JB  Oh, I agree that it would be extremely helpful to have a ruler, but I was thinking about the language in which software is encoded as opposed to the language the web uses.

@Barbara  (no "Reply" button) however, the @ list works.

A ruler would be FANTASTIC!! I've thought this a lot. When I'm doing wrapping paper and a matching gift tag for example, it's really hard to figure out how close they are in scale. Just basically guessing.

Yes, please add the ruler😁
It would be so helpful to customers to be able to actually size and to know the dimensions of the images they are to be uploading and replacing.  This is very important for customer service!!!
