Hello,

I just noticed that a Zazzle QR code is showing up on the back of my cards.  Did I miss an announcement about this? Unfortunately it messes up my logo and information I just created after Zazzle changed the attributions on the back a short while ago.

It's my understanding that the QR code will bring the customer directly to our store, which is great in some ways, but it might take away from my referrals, as I was putting my website on the back of my cards.

Would love to hear feedback from other creators.

Thanks!

I wish that was funny.  😉

I'd like to know the landing page of the QR code.  Yesterday Zazzle Customer Service told me it goes directly to our store, but I haven't been able to scan one it without getting an error message. Has anyone else tried scanning one in?

It gave me a 404 ERROR code an another created said she's getting the same message.

Yes, there is a definite lag. I had to stop and wait because I got all out of order and couldn't tell which ones I'd changed. GRRRR!

Zazzle should NOT be sneaking these unsightly additions on existing designs without some sort of opt in.  Any such changes should be preannounced, and but for an opt in, apply only to new creations where designers can remove them during production if they so choose.  This and other similar invasive retroactive design changes disrespect designers.  Badly done Zazzle 👎🏼

Lucky me: I found only three of my (many) postcards with the little block on them. Unlucky me: Removing the QR code has raised the price on those three cards.
But really, why would a customer want it on their save-the-date cards or class reunion invites? And will those receiving such postcards immediately scan the code to find out where they came from? (The last question likely reflects a lack of interest in my phone.)

Well, at this point the codes that I've check all lead to a 404 ERROR on Zazzle. I hope this is fixed before sales are completed with the code on there.

Perhaps this was their attempt to improve the situation? I mean the stripe we hated is gone.

I'm astonished how many things go live without having been tested beforehand.

I've asked myself if the QR Code is large enough to be readable. Postcards are 5.6x4.25" in size and the code looks pretty small. So I've done some research and found out that the QR code shall be at least 1.2" in size to be well readable. Did a test and the one on the postcards is definitely too small, it's barely 0.5" in size. TBH I'm not surprised that you get a 404 (page not found) error.

And here we are again with stuff not being tested before it goes live.

It's clearly not ready for prime time yet.  But even if the Zazzle-produced QR code lands on our storefronts, the question remains:  Is there an embedded referral link?  And, if so, whose?  Zazzle's or the store's.
