Seam View inside the Design Tool

When trying to get the best looking seam on wrapping paper that is a repeat pattern, it would be very helpful to have the view inside the design tool.  Having to go back and forth, from design tool to product view constantly is not adequate.  It should be inside the design tool.

I don't have an answer for your specific request, but in the meantime, have you ever tried this method when designing wrapping paper?

Use Tiling > Basic for your seamless designs to get perfect alignment. This also allows you to enlarge or reduce your design for a certain look, before Tiling. 

This works best with busy patterns.

Yes, that's exactly what I do, too.  But then, the screen needed to actually see the seam version is a preview that has to be opened up in a bigger preview for me.  All I'm really suggesting here is that when tiling with the basic version, somehow we could switch to the seam view within the design tool there so we can work smarter at aligning our design without the going back and forth so much.
