Question for Zazzle

In creating products with a fancy monogram which does not use any Zazzle fonts, could it be possible to have alternative letter options uploaded to that specific product for the customer to choose instead of creating 26 separate products.

Example:

gold_monogram_h_with_summer_foliage_classic_round_sticker-rebd3da384ef4459590743820774ad74a_0ugmp_8byvr_1024.jpg

If I create a sticker with this monogram, just like having the color choices we now have, it seems like it would be advantageous to have the full alphabet available for a customer.

This makes sense, however generally the customer will only be looking for one specific letter re Monogram, so would not need to see the remaining letters. And you benefit from having the specific letter in the title. If you wanted a more generic product ...you could add all the letters to your template (invisible aside from top letter assuming the letters are not transparent). And in description, advise customer to enter customization tools to 'move' their desired letter to the TOP of the layers. This complicates things and would be time consuming on your part as each letter would require careful labelling but it is doable.

Yes, that would work, but Zazzle wants us to make customization as easy as possible for the customer. This seems like it could be confusing for them. I haven't created products where there are intentionally additional invisible layers for the customer to select.  If anyone has experience - good or bad - it would be nice to know.  I was just envisioning a small block similar to the color selection where each letter would be.

I have a range of products like this ... one such item has been viewed 35 times and has resulted in 135 individual sales. I made these sets 3+yrs ago and haven't actively promoted them since creation. They're quite niche. I have never been contacted by anyone seeking help re the process.

Putting all 26 letters in a collection would show alternate choices beneath the product picture, as in this Alphabet Collection

Yes, that would work, but it is still creating 26 products. Maybe Zazzle could chime in what would be the best solution??

YESSSS!!!!!!! It would be amazing if they could figure out a way to add alphabet options just like you can with different color options. I'm not sure what the solution is, but it takes up so much room in my collections to have every letter possible on every product possible. As an experiment I tried creating a product where all the letters are available in the same product, they customer just has to click on the correct one and hide the others...so far no one has purchased this way, but I've always wanted to make these monogram products work more efficiently for me and for my customers.

As it is possible to create font sets, I’ve wondered if it would be technically possible to upload our own fonts for specialized monograms… but I get the feeling this could be quite technically challenging.

My idea (no idea about technical feasibility): Much as we can make a text or image layer into a template, there could be an option to turn a layer into a radio button. Then you add 26 layers and turn them all into radio buttons, choosing one on the product page that will be what shows initially to the customer. The customer would click on a blue bar to choose their letter/layer from the radio buttons the way they do now to alter template layers. That way they never have to go into the design tool.
