I understand that Zazzle doesn't want to advertise the millions of designs by designers on google anymore because of cost factors, but can they not at least carry on advertising that they have a site that sells customizable products. I googled "Wedding Invitations" and "Business Cards" and Zazzle are no where to be seen. Other sites like Vistaprint and numerous other sites must be making so much more money now. So just an idea for Zazzle, at the very least please advertise that your site exists when future customers simply type in the basics like "Posters" "Greeting cards" e.t.c.

I thought I noticed the same thing.  Used to be Z was all over the place but now there seems to be less and less.

I typed in "Wedding Invitations" in the search. Zazzle was the first one that showed up followed by Zola, Minted, Vistaprint, The Knot etc.  I'm not sure if this is due to the fact that I am often on Zazzle or not. Anyway, it's out there!

Also, the other day I was watching a movie with my family and this ad came on!

That's so strange, I don't get any advertisment from Zazzle on google and I am designing on their all the time too. The advert looks great though!

I searched "Wedding Invitations" again, just out of curiosity, and this is what came up. I do not use Google, that may be a difference, I don't know. I searched with Duckduckgo.

Yes it was Google that I was reffering too because google have around 4.9 billion users, Duckduckgo only has around 46 million. That's why I think Zazzle need to advertise on Google just a little, it seems instead they have an all or nothing attitude with Google and that can't be good?

I think the change is making a big difference.  Our sales have plummeted.  We used to count on hundreds, rarely thousands, of dollars of income per month.  Now we struggle to get to the $50 payment threshold.

Are others seeing the same?

Where did Zazzle say that they aren't going to advertise on Google any more? Their rationale for charging the high Marketing fees was so that they COULD afford to advertise on Google.

This isn't 1998 anymore. Because of ad customization, you don't see exactly what everyone else sees. So it is impossible to know precisely what advertising strategy Zazzle is or isn't using. It is really a giant waste of time to make these kinds of speculation. I see Zazzle invitations when I browse the New York Times and play Candy Crush. In fact I see it on Facebook and everywhere.

I have not seen any statement by Zazzle explaining their advertisement strategy. In fact, I hope that is a closely guarded secret. Sales are soft for some Zazzlers for a variety of reasons and it isn't possible to know which factor it is without seeing detailed numbers.

Hi Connie I'm not saying that Zazzle have said they were not going to advertise on Google any more, all I am saying is that Zazzle doesn't want to advertise the "millions of designs by designers on google anymore" and are cutting back on advertsing on google because of cost factors, which I completely understand. Which is why they have asked us designers to help advertise our own products and I am doing so. My query was why are Zazzle not at the very least advertising their site on google, like there storefront, because when I type in "customizable products" or "wedding invitations" Zazzle doesn't appear on my screen and yet Zazzles goal was to be the top customizable platform for products in the world. I understand that it must cost them a fortune to advertise the millions of designs that they were advertising before, but at least keep on advertising that they exist. Google has the most users of any search engine out there, billions of users.

CrazyMermaid  I am not making any kind of speculation and I note that it is not 1998, I also note your impoliteness in many of your replies to questions on this forum is a norm to you. I am simply referring to Google in my suggestion. Although It's great that you see Zazzle advertisements on candy crush, do you see them on Google? Because that is all I am referring to, not candy crush and not the New York Times. I do not know Zazzles advertisement strategy and where they advertise but I am sure that they advertise in many places, but again, my suggestion is about Google and Zazzle not advertising their platform on Google anymore as far as I can see on all of my devices.

I wish everyone the best. I was not aware of the change in advertising, as I don't use Google and my sales are currently better than they've been in a while. I truly do hope that everything works out for everyone, and that sales increase, whatever the cause may be for the decrease. God bless you and best of luck!
