Results from Instant Downloads

Hi fellow creaters ,I am really interested in how your instant downloads are performing! I think it is definately a timely way for customers to quickly send messages for invites, save the date especially as young people are time short! I only wish is that could also be rolled out for social media sites as well ! Looking forward to your replies.  Cheers Jillian 😊

Here's what I have noticed:

1.  I am finding significantly less single card purchases.

2.  Probably 60-70% of invitation purchasers are purchasing the digital in addition to their physical items.

3.  People that purchase physical invitations will sometimes add on signs via digital (maybe 15%)

4.  I've had no customer complaints or issues due to digital downloads, so they must be easy enough for them to access and utilize.

5.  My physical product sales have not decreased due to digital offerings.

That is good to hear AudreyJeanne and Baylee, definately the right move from Zazzle! I Hope others are experiencing the similar results! As most of my products are not based on stationary I was wondering how digital downloads were performing!  Jillian

My experience echoes those of @AudreyJeanne fairly closely. I was a tad worried physical sales would decrease with their addition but I'm really pleased to see how many people have been purchasing both.

I'm not comfortable with digital downloads. I would think it would cause more image theft. What's to stop them from using your image elsewhere when they have the digital file?

I was gonna allow it but i dont like the fact that there are no limits on the downloads and that once downloaded the images can be shared with others. I actually do sell digital downloads but not here and i have limits on how many times the images can be used and downloaded and they cannot be shared.. My policies are stricture then zazzles thats why i opted out. And so far Ive been lucky and people have followed my policies about the use of my downloads. If there was a limit and a policy against sharing I would of allowed my images to be downloaded. Glad to see others having good luck with them so far 🙂

I've done no more than dip my toe in the water. I don't do much in the way of invitations, which I assume is the main focus of the downloads, but I've done a few. When it comes to posters, I've set a few as downloadable, but definitely not the ones that have sold well. So far, I've had no downloads, but that's to be expected, given my extreme hesitancy.

The Instant Download feature has come to the rescue of a lot of Zazzle customers this Father's Day. There's no way they could've got Zazzle products through any kind of shipping, on time, but because of the Instant Downloads they can purchase the product they like through and on Zazzle itself, and take care of their Father's Day gifting.

I'm very happy for those customers - they are buying what they want to gift - and I'm happy that Zazzle has looked into this and offered the Instant Download feature. I'm in a way seeing this feature in action for the first time, through this Father's Day, and Wow!

I dunno, if I was looking at an instant download product, all I see is the price of the $11 poster I had to slap it on in order to post an instant download product. Makes it look like the download is $11. I haven't really done much with those. I feel that Zazzle will change the format again, then I'll have to re-do all those download products all over again anyway. Not excited about that.
